WHAT BOAT / SHIP MAKES THIS GAME PLAY CORRECT
It seems to me after reading here in the forum, that some boats are far less bugged than others.
I started out like everyone else, with the Mikki that ran just fine for me and was happy to learn on it. I then upgraded to the Lenore and continued to learn without any problem that i was aware of. My next choice was the FOLLABUEN. There is where I went wrong. Bad choice. It did run well for awhile, but then one day I got 18-19 knots and was moving way too fast. Set my 4 line set of 10,000 hooks and waited to haul them in. Buoys were way to hard to attach to. Finally got one and the deck hand could not haul it in. then lost most of the catch. With flustration I got the other 3 lines in, with little payoff. Took the Follabuen out again. Set the hooks and waited. I could not hook on to any buoys. Gave up and went back to port. Being fed up with that boat, I bought a NEW one. The MOBY D. Took it out and wow, what a mess on the throttle controls. Trying to hook up the buoys again was a ♥♥♥♥♥. I'd line up the boat as usual. All was well until I got close to the buoy and hell the line was 90 degrees off. I had a hard time even getting close to the buoy because of the steering and throttle. And check this ..... I was backing up at 31 knots. Needless to say, some BOATS work far better than others. SO. Which DAMN boat works ????
I bought this game because it was NOT an EARLY ACCESS game. I expect a finished game when I buy one. This is very close to being an EA release.

Ocean Runner is quite nice when it's not sinking

yes the Ocean Runner is a nice boat I have it fully upgraded however I'm filling it using only one longline with 5,000 hooks so with that said.....Can anyone tell me how the Arctic Pioneer is as I would like to have a boat or ship with bigger storage 88k just isn't big enough for me that is......

Arctic Pioneer is nice boat for longlining but since you can use 10k hook lines you can still fill it with 3-4 lines.

cool cool guess at least I'd be able to fish more than1-2 lines a trip...kinda pointless to buy all that gear when your not gonna be able to use half of it.....waste of money

arctic pioneer 1k hooks feels like DCAS. Sets fast and good hauls with a decent grind and good amount of gear.

Thanks for all the replies. The boat of choice seams to be the "Arctic Pioneer ". I'm going to hang up this game for a week or two and see if the MOBY D gets fixed, I need another 3 million to buy the ARCTIC PIONEER. I took the Moby D out for one more try. Same results. Very bad throttle and steering issues. Would not grab any of the buoys. Left all my baited lines there AGAIN . Good luck fishing everyone.

I myself went from the Ocean Runner to the Arctic Pioneer and man oh man what an upgrade. I haven't had any issues or bugs with it and make really good money with it. Making between 2-4 million dollars each ship load of gutted fish. This is of course with a maxed out storage upgrade. I definitely recommend it once you save up the money.

ARCTIC PIONEER IS THE WAY TO GO. i did purchase the Arctic Pioneer, and YES what a GREAT ship. I love the thrusters it offers. Big ship, lot of room. Controls actually work. HOWEVER, be careful using it in really bad weather, when the seas are raging, I lost 3 full lines of fish because all the fish were falling of the hooks on the line as the boat went up and down so much. My deckhand was unable to grab them, and when she did, they fell off. Lesson learned.
If you like long lining, what this boat offers, will surely please you.

Pretty Excellent FISHING VESSEL SIMULATOR >Thank You for all your Hard Work & UpDates

However > Here are ( 3 ) Most Important ISSUEs to Resolve, hopefully by XMAS & JAN 1, 2021

1. THRUSTER Does NOT Work on ARCTIC PIONEER. In Fact, I See NO THRUSTER Control. Even Tried ''Z" & ''C'' NO Worky !? Then Tried ReProgramiming KEY w Mouse Wheel LFT & RT
in your OPTIONs, but that FAILs also. TRYING to PICK Buoys @ Night, In Steep SEAs, w/out any THRUSTER for this Size Vessel is a PITB to say the Least. Instead of taking One 2 Minute Shot at a Buoy, must take 3 or 4 Tries, taking 20 Min. Game/Time, which makes it Impossible Picking up more than 12 Lines, Nets, or Pots between 20 HR. to 24 HR. Window of Time.
PLEASE FIX, TU.

2. SPOTLIGHT > Even TOP-Grade SPOT is Incapable of casting Sufficient LIGHTING in Rain at Night, especially in Rolling SEA's ! Need to HAVE Flood Lights on BOW for Wider Field of View.
Also Need Flood Lights at STERN when BACKING Down, especially after Passing a BUOY !
Commercial Fishing Vessels have Flood Lights Fore & Aft. A 2nd Long-Range SPOT helps too !
PLEASE FIX, TU.

3. COMPASS > On ALL Vessels > DEGREE's (#'s) are INCORRECT !! Your COMPASS's Read EAST = 270Deg (Should Be 90Deg). Your COMPASS's Read WEST = 90 Deg (S/Be 270Deg).
GOOGLE Pictures of 'RITCHIE' COMPASS> U Will SEE DEGREEs Marked Properly as stated.
PLEASE FIX, TU.

Merry Christmas to your entire Staff (Please include how US Captains can TEXT your DEVs,
as my 45 Years as SALMON BOAT Captain, I have numerous Tips to provide for this SIM ....

Thank You... MC

Did you check, that the thrusters are actually installed on your Arctic Pioneer? If you buy it, they are in the List Price but not installed automatically.
I play with the Arctic Pioneer, because it's the best ship in FNA in my opinion, and the thrusters work very well.
