Terrible accuracy fishing with a spear

Not sure if it's just me but fishing with a spear has terrible accuracy. Either the spear flies in the different direction than you aim or, you clearly hit the fish but the game says you missed a catch. Am I just horrible at spear fishing or is this a bug? Anyone else encountered this problem?

Spearfishing is the only real challenge in this game. You need to lead the shot, it's not point on it and click, u have to calculate height and anticipate the position, just like in jets ob BF games or chopper rockets. As soon as fish goes away, wait for them to come closer again. It takes patience but in the end it is the only real minigame that's challenging,.

Note your aim improves (i.e. at least mostly goes where intended) if you fully pull back the harpoon (left mouse button completely it decreases the variance) and then right mouse just before throwing. Then its just a matter of improving your aim.

Tap E while the fish splashes and hold it when he isnt

Yes, I realize that. However, the spear sometimes launches in a different direction than where you aim it not even close to your target. I even hit the fish at close range and it still said that I've missed. That's what is baffling me.

Same issue I almost threw my mouse across the room the first time lmfao I stopped harpooning and went to deepline

Spend my first half hour in the tutorial trying to catch a fish with the harpoon, was close to refund lol

Same for me but not with this game , i've bought a basket ball , went home and try to play basket , i realize the ball its quite hard to get it into the net , and i was thinking to ask for refund cos i was to weak for this sport
