Editing Saved File

Does any one know how to edit the .sav file? when i open my file it does have any numbers in the file and weird symbols

What are you trying to edit? Whatever it is, there's probably a much easier way to do it.

I was gutting fish at the dock and my boat sank and lost all my catch and I wanted to edit my money so that I can just buy everything I had before. My save game was deleted so I have to start from scratch

in that case use cheat engine. download it and start cheat engine and the game. select the exe you want to listen to. either create a new game or use a existing save. look how much money you have (attention here if you have e.g. 30.000 $ you have to scan for 3000000 since it will not show the cent part of your money. another example you have 12345 then scan for 1234500.) after first scan buy something. in the list of first scaned items you will see a value which will have droped to the new amount of money. this is the ingame source for your money. you can save it and edit to your likeing.(attention here again that you canot give yourself 99.999.999 $ since then the game will automaticly reduce that amount to about 14.000.000$)

but the game is fairly easy and money is quite easily obtainable.

nvm i found it. theres got to be an app out there that can decrypt this, ive found some in the past without resorting to cheat engines

get cheat engine online, SO easy. look up the wikihow on how to use it, run it while ur playing FNA and u can easily figure out how to change the number value. it will take some trial and error, but I figured it out within 10 minutes or so. search for 4bit values (ull know what i mean once u have cheatengine running) there is also a reddit thread that explains how to do this. best of luck and have fun!

were is it located i have some corrupted files and need to reinstall but don't want to risk losing all my hard work

Just use cheat engine, perf safe to download. Can use it to edit values and basically sandbox mode the game
