If you'd make this game available in Australia, I'd buy it.I guess you'd just need to put it through the censors.

I'm curious now. Couldn't come up with anything on google. Was this game refused a rating in Australia/New Zealand? It must be unavailable for a reason and license issues seem weird. Just because it doesn't have a rating, doesn't mean it cannot be sold, right? PEGI indicates the game has drug usage, I cannot recall how exactly it's depicted but I suppose this could be the reason, similar to how the (also German) game Risen was denied.

Because mass-murder and shooting cops is okay, but drugs, not so much.

I'll leave my mark here too - I'm from NZ and while waiting for "Memoria" to finish downloading after having finished "Chains of Satinav" I was doing a little reading on the games, only to find this game.

This game looks pretty nice graphics-wise, and definitely a game I want to try out, but for some reason it's not available in my region.

Looking around I've not found any issue with the game in NZ, with a couple of DVD copies being for sale on TradeMe (Basically the NZ version of eBay) without any issues (One's currently got a buy now of about 11 dollars NZ).

I'm interested in at least knowing why it's region locked, and if anything can be done to get it available in more regions.

5 years on Drakensang is just released on GOG and still not available to Australians. and it's not a classifications board thing because it's been rated M according to the Classifications Board Website

Is that rating for the international, uncensored version though?

The main problem at this point is the company that made it has been out of business now for about a decade so there's no one around to try and get it approved. So how ever it was when the company folded is how it's going to stay.

You can get a copy of the game at www.fanatical.com (formerly known as Bundle Stars). I got a Steam key for the game from the site recently and it activated in Australia.
