Drakensang: Doesnt work with the game after downloading
At first, I was excited to play this game because I played "Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny" so I love its RPG game.

So, um, when i purchased it and started downloading... then, i hit the button "Play" for the game but i got zoomed out with the whole screen... I knew that I supposed to see a game but i saw my desktop in smaller size of resolution (as if it got error), not the game itself. I couldnt complete or install the new game, Drakensang on my PC computer.

I think I am stuck right now. How do I see Drakensang game if I couldnt see its game? Am I supposed to talk to Steam supports about that or what? Any help? i would be much appreciated for the help.

Drakensang can play with a DirectX Code in Picture on Desktop, what do the game if you startet it.It must write after the code where the path of the game is ( It can be DX9 or so other now it and can help you ).The Original Drakensang DVD or CD run without problems in all 3 Drakensang games in Full Screen, but Steam has not the right that on Steam to make it,I think.

In documents\drakensang\profile\default\profile.xml You can change resolution.

Keep in mind when game starts up, you cannot see intro videos in fullscreen, you need to press alt+enter to go to windowed mode and then alt+enter again if you want to play in fullscreen.

In fact you are better off launching the game with these options:

-novideo -windowed -noborder

Thanks for this. I couldn't get the game to do anything (whenever I clicked an option in the start window, it switched out of the game) until I found this comment and hit alt + enter. I could then access the settings and now it runs.

Someone tell me why I just paid good money for these three games and now cant play them? None of the suggestions here work. Anyone got a real fix for this issue or do I just tell Steam to give me my money back?

Unfortunately it seems that every computer using Win 10 takes something different to get it to work.

If you haven't already, use the search function here to look up 'Win 10', there's a number of threads covering all the possible ways of getting it to work and one of those might be the thing to fix yours.

If you start getting close to the end of Steams refund period then going for a refund is the way to go. I know from here that there have been some that never could get it to work for them.
