I do want eraser sizing and undoing though
On the other hand, the fact that there are so few games like this for easy map-making is depressing. Most games or engines that make mapping easy still require you to do things like converting images to texture-specific file types. Being able to build a map by just dropping in pictures is super cool and I wish there were more games that let you do that with whatever images you want, rather than having to learn some mapping SDK.
or tl;dr - This game is great for the limitation, but I wish there was another game with this map-making style that let you use any image you wanted.
I'd rather see better pixabay integration, such as allowing us to browse multiple pages, insert specific image URLs from the website directly, as well as let us search pixabays library of music/audio.
It would be nice if we could connect music/audio to images in Soks world to create more localized ambience/moods instead of just the same track on a loop forever which is supposed to cover the mood of an entire world.
I'm really enjoying the simplistic creation Soks worlds offer, and feel a few tweaks could really makes the creative side of the experience far deeper and better.
Also a way to delete/remove images that fail to load would be really appreciated, like g'damn does it ruin the creative experience when an image just decides to break and you're stuck with a fail load forever marring your world.
it also means creators who make worlds and have fail loads in the future cannot go back and maintain their maps, as there's no way to interact with or remove images that do not load properly.
I want to also thank the soks worlds dev for this creation, it's a really neat sandbox experience that opens up creativity for a wide range of users. I've enjoyed working on my own world and enjoyed exploring the worlds of others. It's fun to see what people make.
