Question regarding new Mariah content

So I'm playing through the new content, enjoying what I've encountered so far, and I'm not looking to spoil too much for myself. However, to make sure I'm not barking up trees that don't even exist, I'd like to ask is the "Mariah doesn't leave the cabin first" ending initiated by the ritual in Nightmare Mode the full extent of how that concept is explored in the new content? Or is there more to that which can be found?

Asking about this specifically because honestly that concept was the thing I was absolutely the most excited for in the new content... but if I've already seen everything there is to see in that regard, I guess I'd like to know so I don't keep trying to find what isn't there.

For what I can tell doing the ritual and saving mariah has no consequence outside the ending itself :(
