However at 45fps I've yet to have any abandoned event and the aforementioned transmission bugs are not there. So midway through my Racer playthrough I went to 45fps and just upped the resolution to upscale at 1.5. The crisper image helps to spot stuff at high speeds and the lower fps limit means the game runs smoother even at ultra graphics.
I just created a shortcut of the NFS14 x 64.exe and applied these parameters under target. Starting the game from that shortcut enabled 60fps fix again for me.
I just entered the command line in Steam and it seems to have worked.
It will just make everything hitch and your car will be slow (for some weird ass reason).
The difference between driving speed and steering angle etc are like night and day on 60 fps vs 144 etc. 60 fps is as high as you should go. I tested it out with a pal running the same car as me, starting at the same time. He went with 60 fps and I went with 144. He zoomed past me for some reason, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to drift properly, as I swore it was easy when I first tried the game at release. After changing to 60 fps, I could suddenly drift no problem at all, and my car was responsive and quick. (On 144fps it felt like I went 50 kmh when I was ACTUALLY driving at 250 kmh).
Also, if you try 144 it will also make ALL other players lag like crazy. And everyone running 60 will see 144 fps people lag as well. So PLEASE stick with 60 fps!!!
Edit: I just spent ages typing this (English is not my mothertongue), and then afterwards I read about people mentioning it already. I need to learn how to read before I post
I want to try this now.
Incorrect. It works perfectly here
Do you also set the SimRate at45?
Yes both the same
