Need for Speed™ Rivals

Need for Speed™ Rivals

60 FPS UNLOCK FOR U GUYS
i own the games in origin and will not give EA any more money, but for all the lost souls buying those games in steam - here is the 60 fps unlock for rivals and yes, it works flawless. there is no double time or anything. just simply 60 fps (or more, if u change the values)

-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60

put that right as it is in ur launch options, done. IDK if it works if u do it in steam launch settings, but it works 100% in origin (even if u play thru steam)

i remenber having the game crashing on me online, it was freezing and no more response from the game, think it was something like having a bad lag and it bugged, does is it still the same? really thats the only reason why i stopped playing it

This does not work. Probably because it launches Origin first?!

You have to do it in origin.
idk if it works thru steam, but it works with origin (:

if i remember correctly, the 64 bit version crashes more likely, but the 32 bit version runs fine. btw, in options menu u can change from online, to private and even singleplayer mode. it is still "online" without a pause option, but at least u have nobody with bad internet who could cause laggs with u.

Why the hell is this game locked at 30 FPS?

EDIT:

LOL Know what? F@ck that Sheet! I will just refund it. What a lazy port! I will not even bother in trying to see if I can do something about it. Just plain disgusting.

that's what those 2 commands are for... :D of course it is stupid to lock it in the first place, but it is EA...
i assume u don't know where to put these commands, otherwise u would know how simple it is :P

Yeah, I do. I am just not in the mood to deal with this. Also, I am sure I can better expend my money elsewhere.

Great info. I changed the 60 to 300, it got stuck on 30, changed it to 199, still 30, changed it to 144 (which is my monitor's refresh rate as well) and it fluctuates between 120-170 fps. You can also just input 120 as well, it will work!

PS: Do this in Origin, but do not close Origin down, if it's started directly through Steam, and Steam has to launch Origin it will be just 30 FPS.

PPS: If you input 300 in Origin and don't close it down and let it be started by Steam, you might see about 200 FPS, but at the same time the camera won't follow you. You accelerate and the car moves but the camera wont. LOL

PPPS: If you previously owned the Origin version and now the Steam one as well, make sure you input the settings to both of them.

PPPPS: If you just input 144 FPS, there are no problems and the game will run smooth as butter!

PPPPPS: If you have jittering camera at high FPS you should consider lowering it down, for example, even if I could run it easily at 144 FPS mode, it might cause me epilepsy, so I lowered it down to 120 and it so much better, also, if it is still jiterry sometimes, just go 99 and there will be no more problems.

Launch Origin without Steam, go to My Game Library, right click the game in the library and click on Game Properties, then click Advanced Launch Options and where it says: Command line arguments just type this: -GameTime.MaxSimFps 120 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 120

Make sure not to close Origin even if Steam would launch it for you, go with the Full Origin. Then Launch the game on Steam and have fun!

What do you mean slow motion? I had no such problem..

Edit: I've read on the EA forums that the cause of this is that your GPU may not be fast enough for the game which causes slow motion.

yeah your game has to be a firm 60FPS or it will slow down.
