Kinda ironic to see the famous E46 BMW M3 GTR being locked behind a $20 DLC while this car is literally *the* icon of the Most Wanted series. Yeah EA, you suck.

Great game, slimy publishers

- They've not bothered to code an overlay for controller inputs so you have to guess what button does what and cannot remap them,
- There is no config file to change settings
- The "dlc" content is pre-existing base game content that has been sliced out of the game and locked behind a paywall.
- You can own the game on steam but still have to launch it through origin

Please don't support these slimy business tactics

I was having fun with this title, but then EA updated their launcher on October 25th and broke it. Launching the game now just gives you an infinite, black loading screen.

UPDATE - So the issue has to do with the English language pack having been removed. The folks in the Steam forums have come up with two solutions:

1.) Go to NFS Most Wanted in your Library, click on properties, and set the language to anything other than English. You're good to go...

2.) Download the English language files from an older version of the game and copy them to the proper place in the game's directory. There's a Steam forum discussion thread with detailed instructions and someone even made a YouTube "how to" guide.

Or you can just wait for EA to restore English language capabilities...

UPDATE 2 - So I finally managed to finish this game. It's a really fun arcade racer, but I probably spent a quarter of my time with this game trying to trouble-shoot unnecessary issues caused by the EA App launcher. After dealing with the infinite loading screen mentioned above, I spent an evening addressing the following error: "Your game failed to launch. An error at our end caused your launch to fail. Try again later." Should you encounter this glitch, it requires you to verify the app and clear its cache.

Requires EA's Origin which is problematic by itself. On top of that, the game tells you that you can drive any car that you find. This is not true. The better cars are locked behind a DLC pay wall. They're in the game. You can see them. When you go to switch cars, the game tells you to open the EA online store.
Don't tell me I can drive cars and then not let me drive cars. That is the entire point of the game.

Remember the original?
Starting off with slow cars, customizing them visually and tuning them to their limit?

This is NOT that.

I've never played a game which fueld so much anger while playing it.

- No progression
- Find a car, drive a car
- generic upgrades through races
- 6 races per car !?
- be constantly reminded that you do not own all the dlc's by finding dlc exclusive cars, regions and races and press Y to open the store
- Crash constantly without being able to prevent that
- Watch crash cam's which look boring as hell and steal each time 4 seconds of your life.
- Drift your way through the world without any ability to fine manouver your way through obstacles, Hit or miss (Take this with a grain of salt, I usually play Rally games without assists.
- No story what so ever. "Here is a flashy 20 second cutscene which introduces a most wanted car" thats it.
- You get voice lines at the start of the game and at the end for a total of 1 minute of story.
- All cars drive like maniacs. Crashing is certainly not as fatal as i thought.
- Rubber band AI anyone? I finished MOST WANTED 1 with 4 busted tires and came in first. If you can only drive 215 km/h, so can the enemy with totally fine tires.

This game is one of my absolute worst purchases in the last decade. I have no idea why EA is still alive with crappy games like these.

Not bad but I prefer NFSMW (2005) and I will leave the cat here, so that everybody who passes by can pet it and give it a thumbs up.
