Game freezezs on changing resolution

Game freezes on changing resolution or enabling super sampling. Need help

Hey, SSK, not sure if you ever fixed it, but you can manually edit your settings through the config file at your Documents\Criterion Games\Need For Speed(TM) Most Wanted folder. I also had the game hang whenever I changed any settings while the game was running, but no problem launching it with modified settings through the config file. All I did was change SSAA to 4.

Hi, can you please tell me what the Super Sampling is called in the config file? I don't see an SSAA in my config file so I tried entering my own, SSAA=4 under display but its not working.

I am unable to change the Super Sampling option in game as it make the game freeze.

Update: just figured out how to change Super Sampling. I experimented with the value and here are settings below.


Default (Off)

Super Sampling x2

SSAAHeight=2

Yup, you got it. I put 4 and 4 and the game reads it as x4, but whatever works for you.
