They would need to pay millions to reniew both the licence fee for cars and a re-list on the market.
A remaster would be more likely and even that's low.
Though one can hope :)
Why do they sell it on Xbox Live if the licenses are expired though?
i'm assuming it's still selling well there.
It was also never sold on digital markets for pc.
It was never on steam, so they would essentially have to release a standalone title, which would require a new licence by law.
not to mention a contract with steam, as all devs have to sign when selling with steam.
Though i guess when EA signed a previous deal, releasing most of their older titles here, it would make it easier for them to do so.
while i would like the game and older nfs games to come, it's out of character for EA , is all.
not saying it's impossible, for example classic Mafia was re-released on steam after a few years of it not being on steam, due to player demand.
I don't remember car names or music tracks, it's not matter for gameplay, but clearly remember every street, every trap and shortcut.
