Dualshock 4 issue

I tried starting the game with steam's xinput emulation on (didn't expect to officially support DS4 and found out it doesn't after I googled it). It kinda works but looks like it gets a weird input, button prompts on screen are keyboard prompts instead of xbox, like the controller is emulating keyboard, but it isn't. I can't navigate properly on the menus, cause buttons work differently, like a bad configured generic controller, but when I go to controller config and try to set new buttons it detects proper xinput. It gets even weirder in game, as it partially works, but the car keeps the brakes on all the time.

Anyone having the same issue? Or any idea how to solve it? I'll just install Input Mapper here, but I'm really intrigued with this, I have used this controller for years on steam and never had such a weird issue.

same here and I couldn't find any solutions so I ended up asking for a refund

had the same issues, but on top of that the keyboard itself works oddly weird.. like W key at times work and other time it doesn't, and the endless burnouts when u hit W just to drive at 20kmph it's stupid.... already requested a refound, it's incredible I waited so many years for be able to play this game and I encounter this problem, which considering how old this game is having THIS compatibility issue it's unacceptable.

Vote with your wallet, refound it and make 'm think twice before releasing half baked ports.

UPDATE: not working even with input mapper, or just the keyboard. What the hell is wrong with this game? I wanted to play it. Can't believe I'll have to refund because of controller issues, this is ridiculous.

If you have DS4 windows, try checking settings - Make sure "HIDE DS4 Controller" is checked. This worked for me, give it a shot

For those who have the issue who tried to unplug the keyboard, using DS4 windows, etc etc. I solved the issue by unbinding all of the keyboard keybinds and all of the "custom" wheel keybinds. Some menu keys aren't remapable, so if you have like camera change bind as share button on dualshock 4, it might open up the menu+change the camera, so make sure to bind it to something like triangle.

And yes, i use steam's controller configuration

I tried unplugging keyboard, changing dlls to block dinput, unbind other controls. Nothing worked for me, I refunded.

Playing whit my ps4 controller by just plugging in the cable like i did whit payback and heat on origin.. Works fine so far

Can you tell me how the f##k I unplug my keyboard from a gaming laptop? Honestly, EA, what the ♥♥♥♥? You f##k up controller support for a racing game? Unbelievable.
