Game hardlocks after the prologue

As soon as I complete the prologue and the first chapter card shows up the game just doesn't proceed. It becomes unresponsive, the skip cutscene prompt does nothing, and I'm stuck looking at the first chapter card until I shut the game down. I've tried reinstalling and verifying the game files, neither seemed to work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Something similar happened to me on the xbox game pass version. No hard crashes until i got to the middle of the game and went through a random door. Hard Locked in loading.

Got the same issue, the game just get stuck on kapitel 1 screen and thats it. I've also tried reinstalling and deleting the save files, still there.

fixed it by restarting steam

I updated my graphics drivers and that fixed it for me.

I'm having the same issue and I can't progress in the game. I tried restarting steam but that didn't work. Anyone have any other suggestions that might work?
