Original language?

Has the game story been written in German or English? I am fluent in both but would like to give the original language a try.

I think the creators might be German too, but more importantly, I think language is meant to be obtuse in the game as an aesthetic choice. I think it's meant to call to memory fictional settings like Firefly, Blade Runner, and Shadowrun where language is more fluid and intermixed that it is in the modern world.

I like your interpretation of language in the game, I played the demo already and can see what you mean. I think it’s really up to me in this case. I switched a little back and forth, both languages seemed fine to me, and yeah it doesn’t really matter.

I believe the game to be produced in English natively,but using selected German wording here and there for flair, atmosphere and worldbuilding. I believe the studio or some parts of the dev team to be located in northern Germany.

As a German, sadly that takes away a little of the creepy feeling, but also adds some sense of entertainment.

Yeah, the developers are German and situated in Hamburg from what I read, but I don't want to make assumptions. The English in the game has given me some vibes like it might have been translated rather than written though, but that could just be me imagining things. Either way, I'm very curious. :^)
