how do i save the game? is there no autosave at all?

so last night i played this game for like 23 minutes and closed it after the prologue ends but once i got into this game this morning the progress reseted to the very beginning, like what the hell, changed act from prologue into the main act doesn't autosave the game? how do i even save the game?

after the prologue you gotta continue for like a minute to encounter the first save/safe room. it has a red monitor (they all do) click the monitor to save. its like resident evil
