Was so overwhelmed by visual & audio sensory rape, while trying to do the 'radio tuning battle', did not realize that tuning the radio signal also reveals which is the 'real' kolibri.
So instead I kept tuning to the right signal like 4-5 times, then suddenly they all disappeared except for one in a corner of the room, and she fell screaming then dead, without being shot. It was all the more scary how calm and quiet it was afterwards, and that creepy island painting didn't help. Not to mention that the 'real' kolibri also disappears after you leave room, unlike every other enemy.
I still think the actual body designs & movements of the arar macaws & stcr storks are scarier, but those hummingbirds beat them in most other ways. Have you ever tried squeezing around them in the hallway? The closer you get, the more awful everything is.
The way the ARARs moved really creeped me out, and the storks were unsettling (as well as just being tough as nails). MNHRs also with the puking blood/worms (according to the wiki) were disturbing but more of a nuisance than really creepy.
The KLBRs just stand out from a pure horror perspective; I know a little german, so reading the visual glitches in real-time just really shook me each time I encountered them. I always dealt with the KLBR immediately except for one room in the final area where there were more pressing concerns. But yeah, getting closer to the KLBR causes everything to get even more intense which just added to its memorability for me.
