I'm thinking of buing this game.

How does it save? Automatically or with ribbons?

It has fixed save points you can use as often as you want, but it doesn't autosave outside of that.

Yes, it has manual save rooms like in Resident Evil. But you don't have limited saves (like the ink ribbons), so you can if you like still save after every bit of progress you make.

Also the save rooms are quite frequent initially, so there's no issue with their accessibility. Later on they become a bit more scarce, but by then you know how to play enough not to need them every second corner.
