You know whats funny

This game is gonna be 20 bucks for 10 hours of gameplay, while Scorn is 40 bucks for 90 minutes of gameplay. Imagine being a Scorn dev having to live with yourself.

Scorn also took a lot more time and money to develop than a pixel art game like Signalis would, so the price difference checks out.

Can we please not defend a game that lists about 15 bullet points on its steam page that never made it into the final product? Scorn is a scam and imagine taking 8 years to make a product that shallow. Its pretty clear it was in development hell and they had to cut out almost everything to finally have it come out. I think Microsoft giving them a Gamepass contract is the only reason why this ever released anyways.

Can we please not pretend that developers shouldn't get paid for their time? If you hate scorn, fine. But there's no point trashing it on a completely unrelated game's forum page.

I never said they shouldnt get paid. They got paid by the publisher, they got paid by Microsoft, they got paid by the Kickstarter backers, they got paid by the investors who came up to them after the first failed kickstarter... and then they overcharge customers. I am not saying offer the game for free, but at least give it a reasonable price. 24,99 sounds fair, I got it for 28,79 on GMG, so its not like I feel like I overpaid that much I am just saying the game is not marketed or designed correctly according to its price tag.

You are the one starting a discussion about Scorn, I was just making a joke thread to hype up Signalis for having a great fair price.

Im sure im gonna enjoy Signalis more than Scorn, it looks more like my kind of survival horror, but Scorn was an amazing experience, maybe not worth 40 bucks, but worth experiencing at least one time if you like art in videogames.

Scorn traumatized me in ways I don't fully comprehend, and was a neat puzzle game with horror. It reminded me a lot of experimental early 2000's horror games more than anything else. Signalis is more akin to Silent Hill and Resident Evil 4, and should offer a completely different experience than Scorn. And I'm more than certain that quite a few people from the /r/Netsphere subreddit are going to play this game because of the manga "BLAME!".

So excited, this is the spookiest October ever.

Why compare it to RE4 specifically when it is obviously more similar to the older RE titles?

Scorn is about 3-5 hours depending on players, first of all. And it also required a bigger team due to more complex visuals. Not sure how this can be compared at all.

You have so much information available about games nowadays, why do you buy games that you find too expensive, too short, too boring, whatever? Just move on and wait for a sale. Or get Gamepass for a month to play it.

I find it rather funny that a few people seem to be confident that Signalis is going to be great despite it not even being out yet. How about you actually wait and play it first. For all we know it could be an hour long and extremely buggy.
