Has Player Count raised now its on steam?

I am very interested in getting this as i really enjoyed the previous titles. The only thing that's holding me back is i know in the past on Origin the player count was quite low. For those of you that have recently played, are there full lobbies or are games empty still since its also available on steam? Thanks for the input!

People haven't even downloaded the game yet. So no not yet. But game has backfill bots.

So if there's 8v9 players in 12v12 mode, there will be bots that will fill empty space. And bots are actually useful. Sunflower bot will heal you and you can also get revived by bot.
