That Toutatis' Right Hand achievement...

To my annoyance, I've confirmed it does NOT trigger if you just go through the stages again on a save you've already completed the game on. So yeah, you have to do a "New Game" from scratch. I just went through every stage again on the completed game at Extreme difficulty, including all the boss fights and cutscenes (but none of the puzzles and such because the doors are already open)... and nothing triggered at the end.

So far I've only found one thing vaguely resembling a "guide" to the achievement, and it didn't bother to specify this all-important detail. I also found one person asking whether it did or not, but nobody answered them.

Well this is the answer. To get Toutatis' Right Hand, you have to start a whole new game from scratch with no helmets, no combo upgrades, no shields, etc etc.

What an epic pain in the arse.


Hopefully this will show up in search results if anyone else ever goes looking for this bit of information, and save them having to do what I did.
