Linux version not fully exiting

Enjoying the game, recursion is a great element to add to the genre I've been playing on and off since 8bit home computers!

Only minor gripe is the Linux version doesn't fully exit, am just left with a black screen and needs a forced quit to get rid.

Sorry, I'm not sure what could be causing this. In case it helps, the game is made with Unity. And it may help to check the game's log files at $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/unity3d or $HOME/.config/unity3d

Nothing revealing in them I'm afraid... The Player.log file, after it says 'World awake', and proclaims success with OnUserStatsReceived, it only goes on to list the ID's and Priorities of the 8 worker threads for Enlighten. The only other things that stand out (earlier in the file) are

The referenced script (EditorMonoBehaviour) on this Behaviour is missing!
The referenced script on this Behaviour (Game Object 'World') is missing!

I'm having the same issue, I'll look into it deeper soon. (Great game otherwise though, this is only a minor issue)
