Gifted game is in "Friend Pass" ???

I paid full price to gift my friend this game through steam, but we can't play with our other friends because he gets an error message saying "the friend pass version equerries an invitation from a player to enter this game mode"

Please ask your friend to uninstall the Friend Pass version first. Then, in Steam, click on the top left corner and select "Help" -> "Steam Support." Find "Party Animals" in the list, choose "Remove this game from your account," and try reinstalling the game.
