For example, when I was going for achievements I would turn crossplay off (xbox user) and select asia server (which is actually my region) and most games would be nothing but bots.
A few dead giveaways that your opponents are bots:
-quick match will search until about 2:55 then start the game (default time for real players to join, i suppose)
-all player names will have the same naming convention.
-they will NOT throw objects from sidelines when they are knocked out.
For the most part, AI opponents are much easier. This made getting a lot of the achievements much more manageable.
If you looking to avoid bots, make sure crossplay is on, and use a server that you imagine is popular.
I don't understand how you can be so confident about info that's incorrect. Quick match commonly has bots in the game before it even begins. A lot of them have fake profiles to appear as players, but they are VERY obviously bots.
I don't see why this is bad, though. If I play Casual in Rocket League, I'm going to see some bots in matches even though the pool of human players is definitely high enough to avoid that. However, some players quit out during matchmaking, or their internet fails. And that's in a game where 3v3 is the standard, whereas Party Animals is trying to provide a much bigger arena. Of course, the system can't always fill the slots with real people, and that's going to exacerbate the issue of pre-game quitters when that happens. But that's why Quick Match is Quick Match, and if you want to ensure that doesn't happen then you need to form a team of friends and play Custom, just like I'd need to play Ranked and/or assemble a team in Rocket League to avoid the problems of Casual modes.
If you are talking about the accounts with Player41855 or similar, then its likely just a new player who never made a vanity name, or someone who never bothered to.
It isn't a "player####' name, those are just players who haven't updated their names.
Bots will have the same naming convention. If I remember correctly, it is a noun followed by an adjective or vise versa. For example, FighterGold or StoneMighty. Stuff like that. Once you identify it, it is easy to tell. Also, if you check the profiles, you can tell it isnt a person.
