Cheats, exploits, or failed programming?

We've encountered a few odd situations while playing over 230 hours collectively in quick match, but they cannot be explained or replicated. Were those players cheating or exploiting? Perhaps the developers failed in the programming?

Reading the posts here, others with similar encounters, they lean towards cheaters.

Odd situations:
1. Picking a player with both hands, but the players weighs so much and it takes awhile. This happened to us a few times. My stamina in these situations were close to full. I also remember the same player knocking me out, but I got picked up like a feather.

2. Being punched and went flying. This is one of the rare ones I've encountered once, maybe twice. I've uploaded a screenshot to show this absurdity:

3. Knocked out, grabbed with one hand, 180 degree turn and thrown 2-3 metres away, into a pit; all within 2 seconds. We've encountered this a few times. We can't replicate this.

There are a few unexplained oddities such as being instantly knocked out with precision by a certain individual several times in a row, but I don't think these are worth detailing.

The last thing and this is just theory, a hidden punishment system seems to exist for those who leave a match. Game or internet crashed or just raged? After the 2 minute 'ban,' we noticed some strange occurrences with the first 2 matches.

1. After being killed and in spectator mode, I saw a cookie thrown at a player and he/she was knocked out. If I did the same thing; same angle, same distance of throw, but to another player, nothing happens! The target remains standing.

2. I threw a bomb once and while it should logically roll or land where you expect it (always the case), but very few times it magically gets possessed and rolls off the cliff as if it was controlled by another player. Bombs don't do a L-turn based on its trajectory and landing.

1. annoying indeed, apparently it is very inconsistent even if I picked them up perfectly but mouse-players have easier time cause their grab and punch button are put on same button while controller players cannot do this

2. the player had drunk the energy can item which means they hit much harder and have alot more stamina, best to avoid them

3. others suggest you spin and throw due to the momentum of the throw

4. the cookie/fish throw seems to be random, sometimes i aim and it will go across entire side of map n ever to even be seen on screen and sometimes hitting them dead on they will survive yet other times satisfying knock out to be had.

In end this all seems to come down to the physics engine and it wanting to be random when it dang wants to be but that does add to the party aspect I guess? stops the hard core sweats winning each round if it was perfect everytime.

As for the bomb, I got no idea, what map was it on? it is possible if bridge the planks got a slight nudge off something and tilted it slightly

Most of these are almost definitely related to the wonky, though often frustrating, game physics. Which makes this game fun imo.

The 120 second rage quit punishment is not really hidden. It exists and most players are aware of it. You shouldn't be getting that punishment if your game crashes as long as you just restart the game. It should put you right back into the same match. This has happened a few times to me and my wife.

I doubt any of those things are related to cheating or exploiting.

Agree with the physics part. I think most of us at this point tried to get it or deliver some crazy stuff.

Is there any explanation about people hitting us before the start of the game? tbh happen alot , like yesterday one hit the soccer ball before we could move. Bug server wise or something?

That one seems to be a server bug. I tried both ways as well.

I chalk most of it up to the wonky physics engine, which I actually like, it usually makes for some hilarious situations. But I do rage sometimes.

The only thing in the game that is truly annoying to me so far is when I am sprinting at a character and heavy punch then square in the face, their head flings back like rubber and just bounces back up. No knockout, just a Gumby effect and I fly by them.

Just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ programmers. The amount of times people 1 shot at the start and instantly toss you over or manage to somehow 1 hit kill you with the rubber hammer is pretty bad.

I honestly don't feel like it'll get patched because they can hide behind the "Well it's a wonky party game haha, it's funny."

It's simpler: you don't know how to lose and you find reasons why.
for last years this is a top game.
