Already fair.
There is no point, it's a predatory marketing practice. This is not fair and puts us against one another, that's the point.
Preordering is a massive risk that no one should take no matter the rewards, only do it with developpers you trust and have a track reccord of actually delivering.
If not it pushes the market to release games that are not even working properly on release. And all this for shiny skins that lose all their value the moment you stop playing the game, really?
It doesn't add any value to your account.
When are you guys gonna support a gaming economy that doesn't squeeze you for all your money for no good things in return.
You're not collectors, you're cows being milked.
It definitely does tap into a players FOMO, that including me. I wasn't even aware of Party Animals until it was released, and because of that I wasn't able to pre-order it on time. I enjoy pre-ordering games, even if it is a pretty big gamble because of the rewards or other exclusive content given. I never really had any problems with developers releasing said exclusive content later down the line as it entices people who suffer from a strong sense of FOMO to pick up a game that they previously did not want to get into because they had "missed out" and catch up! Some people value these exclusive skins because of their exclusivity, but I also know there are some people that enjoy these shiny or pretty skins because of just that, they are shiny and pretty skins! I mean who wouldn't want to be dressed as a cute and cuddly king beating down other cute and cuddly creatures?
Jokes aside though, I believe the value a person gets from a game is the amount of time or enjoyment they get from the game. Even after the game itself loses relevance, it's the entertainment it provided during that time that makes the money spent on it worth it!
