(Tutorial) How Set Up Local play
Go to custom and then select what mode/maps you want then press R2/RT/ZR/R on each controller. Also whats the issue with needing to be online? You are already online so whats the problem? Note Local is only up to 4 players and I have never experienced a queue either so I don't know what people are talking about.

This should be pinned, given the situation.
Besides, if local coop is there I wonder why did the devs feel the need to edit the game description and not really make the option more visible in the game menu.

Thanks. I will say it is odd to change the description. Sure I can see how say if your internet provider has an outage and you wanted to play with your family sure but considering that doesn't happen often, I don't see how it's an issue. Now if it was a constant issue, I think you would change your provider or have them check your cables in the chance they need replacing or was installed incorrectly.

The issue is you need to sign into a server at all to do this. This isn't offline mode.

The problem with needing to be online is that when no-one plays this anymore they'll pull the servers

That's just my own opinion anyway, as I was only interested in couch co-op but don't want to buy a game they can just shutdown at any given time

Sometimes, during storms etc, internet is not very reliable. I do have a collection of games that can be played offline, especially couch co-op ones. It is unfortunate that this game can never be on that list.

I'm a tad confused. So, if you buy a game with the intent of playing it on the train to and from work on either your laptop or steam deck, you're saying that being online when you buy it means you'll have an internet connection while on the train?

That's not how the internet works.

Not everyone even has a good internet connection. I used to live in a place with 10mbps internet and 200 ping. Local is always a better experience when it comes to latency

What do you think happens some year in the future when the servers inevitably go offline for good? What happens then? I'll tell you, the game is gone forever. Does that mean nothing to people at all?

Many people have the mindset of "this problem doesnt affect me personally right now so its not a real problem stop whining!!!!". It's rather shallow.
