Besides, if local coop is there I wonder why did the devs feel the need to edit the game description and not really make the option more visible in the game menu.

That's just my own opinion anyway, as I was only interested in couch co-op but don't want to buy a game they can just shutdown at any given time
This is not offline, this is online splitscreen
Sometimes, during storms etc, internet is not very reliable. I do have a collection of games that can be played offline, especially couch co-op ones. It is unfortunate that this game can never be on that list.
That's not how the internet works.
What do you think happens some year in the future when the servers inevitably go offline for good? What happens then? I'll tell you, the game is gone forever. Does that mean nothing to people at all?
Many people have the mindset of "this problem doesnt affect me personally right now so its not a real problem stop whining!!!!". It's rather shallow.
