RIDE 4
Is it worth buying this game for singleplayer?
I'm not that much into multiplayer experiences, but this game looks promising.
Is the game worth it just for singleplayer content?

Welp, hope we can find out :P
Definitely. Even though I'm considering paying for Playstation plus(I'm aware this is Steam I am typing this text at...), I did purchase the game back in November with the intention of only playing singleplayer. I mostly just do time trials, and each to their own as they say.
The game has recently transformed back into at least a very playable experience. Most bikes are ok now, even though there are a few that could need a little hand.
I only recently started playing it again, and I really enjoy it now to be honest.

Absolutely.

I guess you've already checked out the free and paid-for DLC, so you can see that the game is still growing. The current DLC roadmap ends late August, but there still could be more to come after that. The paid-for has been worth every penny, IMO.

Nearly all of my time is spent in Race or Endurance modes, so I can't tell you much about the Career mode except that there's a licence to be earned by completing various tasks before you can enter a League. It should be easy enough with practice.

The AI riders are way harder to keep up with than they were in RIDE 3 though if that's important. It's difficult to make an accurate comparison, but I'd say the minimum AI difficulty in RIDE 4 (20%) is around the same level as 50% in RIDE 3.

AI isn't perfect, but it's much better than some give it credit for. I suspect that the vast majority of those doing the complaining have never raced a real sports bike so don't understand the consequences of getting in another bike's way.

Handling is so much better in RIDE 4, especially steering with a gamepad stick. Changes in traction are far more dynamic and realistic when you hit bumps, dips and adverse cambers in the road making it more fun regardless who you're racing against.

It's a massive step up graphically too, especially if you have the hardware to run it on Ultra graphics settings. I've lost track of the number of times looking at the pretty scenery has led to me misjudging a corner and having to reach for the Rewind button.

If you like bikes that are fast and chuckable, I'd recommend that you try the race-modified 600s. They're huge fun to ride on the road tracks when you build up the confidence to push them to the limit and start getting them airborne on the bigger bumps.

As an ex-biker with 30+ years experience, RIDE 4 gets a big thumbs-up from me!

there is no better bike game, so go go go !
No, not imo. The license tests are a chore and the AI is psychotic. I traded it back in but have since learned that the one thing they got right (bike Handling) has been dumbed down because nobody asked for it.

The career set-up is repetitious too, stuck in 1 region until you've cleared it so the tracks repeat regularly.

Edit: Oh and the DLC is predatory ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

tell me a better bike game today.
Yes.

Buy it now and have some fun like me :ss13ok:
Great game but in comparsion to ride 3 a lot of older bikes and slower are missing. but with the physics it´s no fun to ride bikes with less power
Ride 4 physics is awful, this is clearly demonstrated by a few simple tests.
Find the edge of tyre grip on a long corner, Sugo for example. Now how is that extreme rocking motion realistic?
Now try a jump, get the front wheel off the ground and watch how the massive invisible weight slams the bike into a nosedive. That's realistic?
The well documented dumbing down of the physics was to solve one problem: the terrible AI. The AI couldn't get round the circuit, so the carefully constructed physics went out the window.
You've only got to read the various threads, ride 4 is not a good game. It's certainly not the best bike game available. Currently that's motogp20.
75% yes.
The other 25% is based on how you get on with the gate challenges in career. To the 'normal' person they are insanely hard and because they are a compulsory part of licence progression a scenario could arise where chunks of career remain locked because you simply cannot complete these events.
What a 'good game' is, is a personal and subjective thing and that is that. It depends on what you want from it and what you expect from it. Simple as.
