It seems pretty essential and it can be done.

I was accidentally inside and could not leave the interior anymore, it happended when I was looking at the port propeller and the camera movement was blocked suddenly and I was pushed inside the vessel.. It is not meant to go inside during sinking, the interior is poor modelled in the exterior mode of course. I could even see the machinery forward below the anchors with the hawser reel. But this was just luck I think to be jailed inside. I had to exit the game, it was not possible to move outside anymore.

Well, that's just disappointing. That's the one thing I was hoping to see in this. Still, the rest is gorgeous.

Missed opportunity to see the interior flooded. We know its possible since they are working on it for their upcoming Titanic game. I can understand it would be impossible to have the interior rendered at the same time as the exterior considering the amount of details and the already ill performance inside the ship, but having two worlds with a loading screen if you desire to enter the ship where the interior is animated in sync with the exterior would be possible. They have gotten pretty far with animating the interior flooding for their Titanic game. This video was uploaded a year ago.

I found a way to get inside during the sinking - If you go into free cam sinking mode, and go into the starboard A deck promenade and sit by the interior wall the ship will "list" into you and you will clip inside and can start moving around. Needless to say it is poorly modelled and incomplete, and it is possible to get stuck in there as well.

I understand that the Britannic has always been a side project for you guys, and the ship that you want to spend the most amount of time on is the Titanic; I don't expect every room on the Britannic to be modelled, but can we have a few interior places on the Britannic to be explorable during the sinking, in particular places on the Boat, A and B Decks like Grand Staircase for First and 2nd Class?

Thank you.

You can clip inside the ship in freecam mode. All you have to do is wait for the ship to start turning/capsizing and then lean your camera right up against the side of the ship that it's turning towards: camera will clip into the interior. None of the inside will have collision detection, so you're free to roam, but keep in mind that they never intended you to do so, so everything will be very sparse and low poly. If you want to get out, reverse the process of getting in, except go up to the side that the ship is turning away from, lean right up against it, and you'll be clipped out of the ship.

There's also a way to see the ship once its sunk. Since the camera is partially anchored to the ship during the sinking, you can place the camera just above the water, and wait for the ship to drag you under the water. Keep in mind that, again, you're not meant to see it, so you're not going to see the ship's bow breaking off when the ship comes to rest. It's still cool to see though.

Frederik, not quite true. That footage is from a video that's five years old. It's also a very early sinking test, and they haven't focussed on interior sinking at all, which is understandable. No interior sinking, but you do have a beautiful exterior sinking which imo is enough, as interior sinking would just have been too much work for them. We'll see it in THG though, of course. That game will definitely satisfy all our needs.
