How do you find glass in the forest?

I cannot even find glass, in a tiny forest, to complete a simple quest which I assume would lead me to other quests. Offering multiple quests at once would be a nice work around. As is I cannot even leave the opening stage of the map and will uninstall this game as I cannot do anything except sleep.

If you've read the text the woman says that you need shoes, to get into the forest. If that's not the problem here, I don't know.

Can you enter the forest? Okay, let's try a step by step guide.

You have to get Leonidas vials out of the forest. In the west you will see an area. ( The unheroic trash ). But you need experience in the forest first.

Before that you will find the Sorka Camp. Sorka shows you another camp. ( The barefood ). There you will find equipment. Put this on.

Return to Sorka. There you will get a staff. Now you can get the glass shards. Return to Leonidas. Give him the glass and he will repair your lantern.

Important! Equip the lantern! Go to the troll portal and enter your domain. Have fun.

I then walk around the forest, exit to the plain, walk past the mission to cut wood that I do not have enough experience to cut to perhaps to repair the bridge or build a raft to cross a river limiting me to this small map. I've pranced around and slept in the forest but no glass appears. I walk back to the camp walk back to the bridge area revisit the Troll throne and talk to Leonidas again. I talk to the second NPC at the river crossing again. I go back to the forest and walk over to both falls area. I use the blanket and sleep. I've spent 3-4 days in game days wandering around and no glass appears. Not fun.

this game sucks, all you do is stand around clicking resource nodes. just keep uninstalled

What about crafting? Base building? Missions? Trading with players? Fights against monsters? Exploring?

I think you don't really understand the game.

Go back and talk to the NPC and pick the option "I shall go there immediately".
