Pet Max Lvl no Energy Bonus

Is there a reason why max lvl pets dont get Energy bonus after feeding. I still get the sign that they are hungry and need food. but why should I spent money or items if there is no effect?

To me it seems like the energy bonus of the pet doubles while it's fed, so it's still worth it to give it the free food so that it gives 60 instead of 30 energy everytime someone pets your pet.

I have 1 pet not maxed and it has 30 energy while hungry and 60 energy when fed, and the other max pets have 30 energy when hungry and 30 energy when fed...

That's weird, for me every fed pet is 60 and every non fed pet is 30. The only potential problem I currently can see is that a fed pet still shows 30 right after being fed, which is just a display bug, if you refresh it by changing the pet it shows 60 again.

There is also the free food option. Also if there is a hidden talent point if you get all pets to a very high level.
