Cap is currently 60 perk points
100% needs:
Bartering: 68
Crafting: 73
Quest: 76
you don't have all the slats on the fence anymore
A good idea executed so poorly.
And when I read this nonsense: It's for Endgame.. I'll either do something for everyone on the same terms or I'll just let it be..
Just such a stupid excuse as it is "early access" in other games
One possibility that came to mind is Titan souls. I mean, there's a point when they become useless as far as I know, especially since there's a perk to get double ones now.
**Heavily influenced by the fact we got Haggle event*: I ended up choosing Barter cause it meshed with my playstyle, even though i wanted the hero booster, and fusion for energy perks. I was worried about the cost of the perks being horrible, but I also made AROUND* 8 billion in the last 3 days, so i was able to get a good chunk of the perks i was eyeing. Something I doubt I'd pull off without.
So my take away is that low level / early game players are furious with the cost and quality of the initial skills
Midgame players are unhappy with the quality and cost of the skills and cant reach capstones yet
Lategame players are seeing benefit from skills but are unhappy with the price
Endgame players are very happy with capstone skills + overall tree bonuses shaking up how we play and giving massive boosts, but also disgruntled with the costs
Whales: Laughing all the way to the bank.
EDIT: EARLY EARLY Early game players: are hearing all this buzz and not sure what to expect.
Guildmate: really delved into Crafting tree.
Extra slot: +8% crafting capability
15% regen : 15% more crafts in a day
15% no resources: 15% chance to double craft, or +15% value
15% no materials: roughly +1~1.2mil per craft proc. *(T13s and market cost)
(AFAIK: he didnt grab fusion perks, but that makes fusions 66.6% more powerful for blue+, since you need only 60% to craft purples/leggies*(iflucky)
SO: that's around +43% more profit on what he was used to. IF he averaged around 4 billion a day in crafting profits, He's now looking at 5.72 billion + all the mats he saved.
-----
Me: (still dont have all my perks)
-Extra Energy: +10e gives my trash fodder 20% value to me in energy value... not 100% convertable to profits
-Double or no deal ( rough mathing it, will net me somewhere in the ballpark of 70-150 million a day based on luck)
-Sound Sleeper: +24,000e /d (bugged iirc), that's roughly 101 million gold in common plasma surcharges for me
-Hyper: gives me over 800 energy when i'm in sell mode, around 650 when I'm in craft mode. this really helps me build up energy to surcharge
-Brand loyalty: 10% that they surcharge themselves, its not just a free 15-20mil in my pocket every 10 customers, but it also saves me a few fodders, AND customers that i had to waste energy on.... this skill is amazing, and i'm surprised its not a capstone
-Royal Adviser: Forcing the king to buy my king baits, and getting around 200m every couple days is again around 100m per day (i know you can do something to get him to co-operate, but i picked up the perk cause of convenience)
-Enchantment establishment... this one is being over hyped (IMO) cause you can basically print money. 5pts on this can make t4 enchantments which are nothing to buy or craft give upwards to 700,000g value on the biggest items...so its nice.
(DONT HAVE: Best of the best; I dont know the reaches of this one, but rough ballpark: Low end bad luck of t9 enchants, and only 1 worker : roughly 16.8mil a day. if i'm semi lucky, 200mil a day. if i'm extrodinarily lucky: probably closer to 300m a day. works in tandem with Double or no deal, AND enchantment establishment)
This is super hard to calculate, but rough mathing it, i'd be looking at getting around 600mil more per day on average vs before the perk system.
(EDIT: not counting Brand loyalty procs which can swing wildly)
and when I played very active, I made around 8-9bil in 3 days.
We can certainly disagree on whether these are 'massive' or not, but imo it feels massive.
Also; I dont have all my perks. I'm looking at some sexy synergy between 2 different trees that will probably completely change how I approach the game entirely.
WHICH for me as a more endgame player, is a very fresh shakeup from what I've come accustomed to.
So I'm more biased to liking the patch :/
@K.: I know the feels man... i screwed up myself and spent the 400gems cause i didnt read it properly either T_T
I also was not trying to convince you of anything, only explain my view, so nothing lost.
I do encourage you to keep voicing your frustration though, but perhaps on Kabaam's forums where you may get more traction? The more people that Kabaam sees that are not happy with its implementation, the greater chance that they will adjust it in favour of your viewpoint.
In the meantime, i'll continue to enjoy the nearly quadruple daily profits I'm getting from this patch.
You earn Skill Points by leveling up, but to spend those points you still have to pay gold. the first spend is literally 2 Million Gold.. It's ridiculous. and it only gets higher from there.
The thing about new mechanics in games like this is that time is a factor. Anything they add is supposed to take a very long time to complete, or be paid for with real money. They have to inflate the price so high BECAUSE of endgame players that make 8 billion in 4 days. If the average player could walk in and buy it all on day one without spending a dime, what would be the point?
I mean, 15% of a $30 food tab, is a small amount of money for a waitress/waiter.
15% of 100 billion gold is 15 billion gold. so yeah, massive.
get some perspective man.
