can someone explain the market

as far as I can tell, you are selling items to other players and not the AI. If that is the case then why are other players willing to pay such hugh markups? stuff I sell at my shop for 80, I can sell easily for 800 at the market. I am a new player so am I missing something?

If you're a higher level player, are you going to sweat 800g? They're using their crafting slots to craft higher tier items, so it's just convenient. I've done this many times when champs come around requesting items. I can craft 1 higher tier item and recoup the costs faster than if I spent the time making those items myself.

A lot of low tier items are used as pre-crafts as well. As MsTree said, high level players save time a crafting slot just buying pre-craft items. As a low level player you can make a ton of money in the market if you know which items are pre-crafts. Also, T6 green items and T7 blue items are in high demand by high level players for making sigils. So all T6 and T7 items sell for at least 5x what they are worth.

I guess I am not there yet as i hardly understood what you meant by sigils. I'll get there eventually.

Sigils are extra component for high level items which you need to craft to be able to craft said high level items.
