How many paywalls are there?

I just started the game and there are already two paywalls. How many paywalls are in the game? How much money do you need to play it well?

There are 4 pay to use crafters: one is 17.99$, two are 19.99$ and last one is 29.99$. There is also Royal Merchant sub that you can buy for 9$ monthly for some bonuses and additional special packs contining items and recipes show up quite regularly. I do not remember if price always stays the same, but the current one is 18.99$ if it matters. With this being said, I do not think any of them is required to play well, they're pretty much optional. Paid crafters are cool and give you more variety in items you can create, but you can do well without them. Subscription also gives you bit of edge, but honestly, I had it like 2-3 months and cancelled because bonuses were not worth it for me personally. Special packs are great because they give you unique recipes but you can also get recipes from past packs during King's Caprice event that happens from time to time.

There are no paywalls in this game. The most important things you can buy are 4 workers, which are nice to have, but are by no means required. All the stuff they can craft can be easily bought off the market from other players. Though in addition ot that they sometimes also provide nice passive bonuses that lets you save some time and resources. But it's really by no means a wall. Just really nice to have.

I'm not donating any money into it and doesn't seem like I'm loosing much. Of course paying money will smooth experience a bit, but it's not actually fixing any problems or improving your general experience. Only useful thing is that you can repair items for money instead of buying it for crystals. But if you participate in events you have enough crystals for day-to-day spending (if you not buying expansions or other stuff for them). Premium masters (Dragon, Engineer, etc) are more or less pointless, since you can buy that stuff on a market.

PS: I'm in top1000 guild (Rank 905), with level 64 and 9.4G donated. Playing it for 1 year and 3 months or so. Finishing all of the events without much hassle. And even overpowering some of my guild's premium players, because this game is all about time spent on it, not how much you paying - it doesn't give you much of an advantage over regular players if you not investing time.
