I think newer people don't realize this. You aren't really supposed to make it to the top.
Unless you make your account with a very deliberate strategy getting to the top of the lower towers is impossible. So, it doesn't really matter. The majority of (new) players can't make it there (even with gems usage.. making them useless.. it's a total trap) until at least level 53 and up (that's what you need to unlock all heroes) + time to level said hero compositions.
My advice is to take the game slower and not expect to top every event.
For example the majority of hero classes are just bad. Really really bad.
The star system for the heroes is flawed. Yes, some heroes get better stats p/level BUT also have completely useless skill rolls compared to others and/or not worth Titan usage.
This game needs better balance. It's cool that there are "unique" heroes but with pointless perks, why bother?
