To lvl up to lvl 5: IT IS OVER 9000K!!!
and I see things locked behind lvl 7 merchants and as far as I know items locked behind merchants lvl 10 before you can build, also the fastest way to get gold seem to be getting the most valuable chest for some diamonds then selling it for gold ... But needed 9 of these for 1 upgrade from lvl 4 to lvl 5, what already become snail pace to upgrade anything, also things locked behind lvl while it look like if you pay for Diamonds you can have at any lvl.
Yes, everything in the game is actually possible with just ingame currency (Gold) but using your wallet (Diamonds) makes everything instantaneous and I can understand why this is a cash grab for people without any patience and no sense of self control when it comes to spending money.
Like said before.. the term has evolve maybe old school player. the term pay to win was invented before pvp...[alittle example] in an old game last chaos a player pay to win to get to the highest lvl for raiding.... pvp was given later but the term arrived before.. it was literally pay to win [winning in any advantage]
that term was evolved once more game came out where pvp was focus and there were more item for advantage...
this term has evolve to many different aspect as pay to progress etc.. there were even article on how things evolved...
so if he means pay to win as in pay to progress that that understandable for old players, but for new player they learn the new lingo and stick with it ^,^

i swear some people were dropped on their heads as a child
Still, I believe more people would be willing to pay if it was not "so much" and more people would play AND pay.
They get a 3K+monthly from a smaller % of the player base while not getting much or nothing at all from most of the playerbase, in the end I dont think they really profit as they could but . . . as it have a gambling mechanic with the chests you can open more with diamonds, there are cultures around "gambling" and people that basically cant live without more gambling, also a culture around "being the best or among the best" and some people also cant live without this feeling (even if they earn nothing in real life for this "in-game gambling" or "being among the best in-game" . . .).
I for one wont pay 1cent for it and I dont care how far I will get ionto the game, how big my shop will become and how good I will do and I am fine with it, just taking my time.
Your gambling claim for this game is sketchy claim. The only thing you really get from chest are crafting resources and once in a blue moon ascension shards. If people can't control them selves to wait 30 mins for a quest to finish to get those crafting matz or wait for an evens like the current one going on to get ascension shards than they have something mentally wrong with them and shouldn't be playing this game. An on top of that claim the game hands out free gems like it halloween candy so if your gambling for crafting matz you can earn from just waiting can't be filled off that than you shouldn't be allowed to own money in the first place.
An really you can't justify a claim that this game or any game is P2W or encourages gambling by basing it off people that clearly have mental issues or inferiority complexes. With that logic ever game that even cost money is P2W.
Pay 2 Win is extended to Time Savers as it is a Pay to Win in a Single Player game as the player literally Pays to WIn the reward/character/gear/weapon/etc.
Still, for some games the Pay 2 Win mechanic also include things that you can not obtain just playing and that are in fact better, still, another form of time saver if it is just a SDingle Player game.
For me, time savers are more a Pay to Not Play, (P2NP, or a P2W where you dont have to play to get things) what is completely different from Pay to Own a game and I dont know how tf you considered anything of what I wrote before as Pay to Own a game, you just used that trying to make yourself look smarter or whatever, I dont even know what you tried there.
If this game was multiplayer where what others have changes what I can have or my changes of moving forward because they can have things I can not or they can have things instantaneously that I would take hours, days or weeks to get each of these things, then I would not be playing this game, but this game is basically a single player game with the possibility of interaction with other players and it changes nothing of each other experiences with the game.
I only agree with you that people that use P2W have mental issues, even more on Single Player games where they gain nothing but losing the chance to actually play the game to obtain what they want, becoming a P2NP.
Theres a spinner you get a free spin every day and you get various rewards and you can buy more coins to gamble
