When Members Leave
I've been playing a while on my Samsung tablet, and started a new game for Steam so, it's me and my alt in my Guild. I got a new member who stayed for a week or two and invested a substantial amount into various buildings.

He left the Guild the other day and I noticed one of my buildings (maybe more, I can't tell) was level 7 and is now back at level 5. What the?

When a member leaves do their contributions get removed from the buildings they invested in?
If so, that sucks. If not, what's going on?

When a player leaves your guild, their investments into the buildings go with them, so you will need to replace them with someone of similar investments to retain similar levels.

Thanks for the replies.I understand that part, now :-)
And yeah, that sucks when people invest 1G+ in City and leave without reason....

That part of Shop Titans needs an improvement!
I feel it should be like this:

If a member invests in the town that should be the incentive to stick with the city they chose to be a part of. If they choose to leave they leave behind the investment they made in the town they progressed in.

However, if a member is kicked... this is where the current system should stay. If kicked, your investments are kicked also along with you so as to find a new community to play with.

So TDLR:
You quit? Investment stays. (You take the hit)
You're removed? The city removes not only yourself but cuts out the investments you made. (The guild takes the hit)

No.
Best ways would be:

You quit: Investment is removed from city buildings of the Guild and the player keep the half of its investment made.
You're removed, aka kicked: Investment would stay and the player keep all investment made! if its anciennty is at least 1 month of playing!

I mean: sometimes old GREAT investments players stop playing one day... And that penalize greatly the Guild when the Guild must kick it for recruit a new player. Let's say 1G of Investment cut out because a stopped AFK player.. that's hurt and it's not fair!

So, let's revise your viewpoint when it comes to 'must kick'.
Swords and Potions (on which this game is heavily based) back on Kongregate had a system where you left investments behind when you left which led to guilds setting investment requirements to stay and join as a member of the guild (not an unreasonable demand at first glance) but some would then kick members the day after contribution or weekly payment...cheating a LOT of casual players out of ANY personal progression.

Sure it solves the problems of a guild having to kick a big investor that quit but it also brings a couple of shady exploit-mechanics with it.

In a community game like this there really isn't an ideal solution.
That's why I mentioned the following:

If a member is kicked - Investment travels with player
If a member leaves - Investment stay and the player begins fresh with new guild.

Sorry, I misunderstood what you said, then, OK!

Of course! CHEATING are why games are so utterly locked behind, those.. shady mechanics.

Anyway, there is on Steam "Cadria Shop Items", I thought that Shop Titans was based on.
I love manga art of Cadria, but I love also the art of Shop Titans!
I've since abandoned having my own Guild as it got too expensive. By simply posting in world chat I got an invite to another, but, it wasn't much better than what I already left.
I kind of felt bad about taking my 68mil investments with me as I knew what would happen.

I'm up to 85mil at the moment in another guild but it's not really right for me. I just browse world chat now and then to see if there's something more suitable.

I actually don't mind how things work as opposed to Swords & Potions 2 (loved that game). Now that I understand it.
In other similar games clans are too quick to kick for no reason. In this game if guilds suck its members leave and good luck trying to find replacements :steamhappy:

Edit: Removed some words.
