That depends on who's definition of socialism you are speaking with.

Socialism is a model of economy in which a society determines the direction of its own resources. Trumpers are perpetrators of capitalism. The hate society, and want to foster a world full of as much poverty and war and suffering as possible. So, they'll never be this sort of actual socialist.

The trumper's definition of socialism is a model of government that looks something more like a weird mixture of totalitarian communism and extremely fascist imperialism. The difference between 'model of economy' and 'model of government' is apparently too complex for the backward hicks of Yokelville to comprehend. They already are this type of socialist, as demonstrated by their demand for "deprivatized capitalism", which is just a long way of saying communism.

I had a Bernie Bro text me asking why I wasn't voting for Bernie, and that I could get free college tuition. I put myself through law school and paid for the entire $267,000.00 tuition cost myself while in school. When I told him that he started swearing at me and asked me again why I didn't want free stuff. I asked where the money would come from, because free stuff for some takes from others. He had no response. When socialists become 100% capitalist then I might consider switching. Socialism is a stupid notion that misleads the younger and more ignorant people. Socialism is not about free stuff, it is about the government controlling the means of production, an idea that is antithetical to capitalism. So I would never change to support socialism, unless it somehow became capitalism.

the college tuition would come from destroying the corporate loopholes and make banks and billionaires pay their fair share. norway does it by increasing the taxes, but the taxes are taken from your salary so rich people cant find loopholes. the higher taxes also pay for a social net so its artificially impossible to be homeless.
