Game runs at 24fps
Or something like that. It's cool that it's on PC/Steam but this port kind of sucks.

I'd guess he's referring to the original Windows port from 1998?

@OP: This soon-to-be-released steam version is an improved PC port recompiled from the original N64 source code. I'm pretty sure it will run at 60fps.

/edit: Turns out the game is locked at 30fps, at higher frame rates the game might have "wonky physics".

I'm referring to the trailer they just released. It runs at 24fps. Not sure why the devs would intentionally release a trailer that displays low fps unless the game actually runs at low fps.

so this is a decompiled n64 port like mario64 and zelda oot? that's better then if that's the case

The game is locked to 30 fps, improved from 15fps that N64 originally had. However you will be able to unlock to I think 60 fps. But that could lead to some wonky physics. So we can't guarantee the game will behave normally, so default is 30 FPS.

you're putting effort in this port right? if this is indeed "coded from the ground up", you could easily make the game run great at 60, right? look at the super mario 64 pc port, that runs great at 60

i just want a good glover gaming experience

This is very good to know. I suppose there were mechanics tied to framerate that would need to be overhauled if the game was to support 60 fps?

Be aware that a lot of gamers see 60 fps as a standard. I hope you put a notice about this on the store page to soften the blow and set expectations accordingly. I was hoping it was going to run at 60 fps too. So long as the game runs like normal at 30 fps that's okay.

Basically the programmer said that the mechanics of hand ball made the math calculations for it to run at 60fps incredibly difficult. That is why is a bit wonky.

Yeah I'll post that close launch. We were going to release at 30fps but lots of people asked about 60fps so we barely started to add it back today.

That's interesting. Glover is an old favorite of mine so I'd love to hear the technical explanation for why that happens. You mentioned a Glover Documentary elsewhere, I'll keep my ears out for that.

but they said it's not. if it releases and that isn't the case, i have no reason to buy anything from this dev again but as this is the first time i've heard of them, i'll take their word for it
