Prison Architect 2: Forever Delayed – Will It Ever Break Out of Development Jail?

Prison Architect 2 has been delayed three times already, originally planned for March 26, 2024, then moved to May 7, 2024, and later to September 3, 2024. In August, it was postponed indefinitely.

Could we expect another delay at this point, or is an update on the situation forthcoming? Considering the current timeline, it seems unlikely that the game will launch by the end of this year.

Additionally, could you provide more detailed explanations about the reasons for the delays? So far, the provided statements have been vague and lack clarity. If the game has been effectively delayed four times, there must be significant issues involved

The game got a lot of ciritc because of the art style and barebone content. They have a lot to do I guess, maybe even fixing the art style, which had not many friends

You are sooooo riiiiight. Having no idea about it at all but being sooooo confident. Im a very successful 44 year old computer science educated game developer, hows that? Yes they are very lib and yes very incapable of making a game and yes there seems to be a trend there.

It matters because without this information, your opinion doesn't matter. If you ever contributed anything at all to a game that made some real money, then your opinion matters.

More or less this. For all I know, you're just some random person. I can also say I've worked on video games (that never shipped) just screwing around with Unity for hobby work/fun.

All that being said, I do wonder if Double Eleven just half-assed the game knowing they weren't going to renew the contract. Lots of speculation, but hopefully Kokku can get the game across the finish line.

I didnt ask you who you think I am or want me to be. Nobody cares what you think about me. Thats a personal issue. What others do is none of your business. Even if I was an amateur, I would still have a basic understanding that its not that hard to make a game work.

Everyone knows they cant make a game work. They broke part 1 and none of their other games work right either.
