Prison Architect 2

PDX I beg you to reconsider releasing
From a die-hard Prison Architect fan.

PLEASE do not kill this brand.

Scrap release altogether and go back to the drawing board. Screw the damn shareholders damning instant return. It's NOT worth it.

If PA2 is missing features that was in PA1 it will be review bomed
if you have pay2win (buffs/debuffs) content on release you will be review bombed
If you have obvious "content will come with later DLC" it will be review bombed

If this has NO heart and just an empty shell of PA1 with 'different' graphics it will be review-bombed.

You are playing with a beloved franchise here. If you do this you deserve all the hate that will come your way.

You as a publisher are big enough now not to be pushed around by greedy moneymen. Do the right thing and put your foot down.

Go to the directors office, find the piece of paper with "all planned DLC" get that ALL in the game and more, then release in 2025 and actually do the game right. We are all wise to these tricks now, they are not going to be welcomed.

Steam has a system already to filter out reviews from "review bombing" so they don't influence the overall rating.

I already had to wait 2 additional months AFTER pre-ordering it if they add another 12 months on top it rather angers the customers which already payed.
I don't care if they sell DLC's they are easy to afford if you have a job.

Paradox has made a clear decision over the last 3-4 years to go all in on releasing mediocre games and milking DLC paypigs so I would expect anything good.

Paradox are now even abandoning their games. Star Trek Infinite is only 6 months old and just got abandoned.

Who is to say PA2 wont get abandoned?.

Frankly I don't have the confidence to put money down on a unproven release just for it to be abandoned months later due to a lackluster release because the game was stripped of content.

Yeah that's a mad one. Cost them millions to make and publish, not a bad game at all, just needs some love but nah, instead they got their money and now they will just let it die.

Honestly despicable. I'm staying clear of PDX games until they start turning stuff around. We should have shunned EA when they started buying up great brands and destorying them, we should have shunned Ubisoft when their quality dropped, and now we should shun PDX for their greed.

Glad I'm not a youth in this era of game development it's horrid. At least I got my fill of great games in the 90's and 2000's.

Lol if a game has pre order bonuses, 9/10 its going to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. DO NOT BUY PA2.

Make a statement with your wallets. That gamers wont tolerate unpolished, brand killing, garbage.

If it runs good and is fun to play it will get good reviews, if it wasn't for all the people hating on Paradox.

It's going to be like Cities skylines 2, Star Trek Infinite and Imperator Rome.

They will sell a ton of pre-orders, then release a buggy mess with missing features, and say "Thanks! we got our bonuses" and do it again to us over and over.

I used to trust this company, but now I am going to just watch for a few months while they do the same thing to me on City Skylines 2 that they just did on Star Trek Finite.

Was a time I would have been so excited for a Pa2, but Paradox has gotten out of control with its DLC policy and releasing cut up games so they can sell it in pieces. Hoping the best for the game and that I'm proven wrong.

And this, so true. As for the comment made a few posts above, Paradox are doing this to themselves.

Hmm. There is a lot of review bombing these days and review threats. I do not agree with the original post that this game should be at the same level or have all the same features as the final PA1 game that it is today, or else.
MaxKool007 Apr 15, 2024 @ 9:44pm
skylines was barebones and had lots of performance issues on launch. 2 is getting work. all publishers rush developers these days. I would hate to be a dev today. It literaly seems like hell.

He claims to be a die-hard PA fan, but it looks like he played it for a few weeks back in 2016.

The original code for this game was written more than a decade ago. I'm sure they had to redo the entire game from the ground up. It will undoubtedly be different in some ways and similar in others, just like all sequels.

These squeals of outrage for a game that hasn't even come out yet are just performative. I've watched the developer videos of the game and I've got a pretty good idea how it plays. I spent hundreds of hours on the first one, from the crude early alpha to when they sold it to the big studio. I don't expect a carbon copy of the first one, only an idiot would think that's feasible.

If you don't want the game then don't buy it. It's only forty bucks and I can easily afford to pre-order it. Heck, wait a couple years and you can get it with all the DLC for ten bucks, maybe that's more your price range anyway.

Dont buy on release. Else they will never learn.

Have you seen the release condition of paradox latest releases? Performative lol. literally everything they release is low rated.

Exactly why youll never see me pay for another Paradox game. They ruined everyones trust and loyalty long ago.
