I already had to wait 2 additional months AFTER pre-ordering it if they add another 12 months on top it rather angers the customers which already payed.
I don't care if they sell DLC's they are easy to afford if you have a job.
Who is to say PA2 wont get abandoned?.
Frankly I don't have the confidence to put money down on a unproven release just for it to be abandoned months later due to a lackluster release because the game was stripped of content.
Yeah that's a mad one. Cost them millions to make and publish, not a bad game at all, just needs some love but nah, instead they got their money and now they will just let it die.
Honestly despicable. I'm staying clear of PDX games until they start turning stuff around. We should have shunned EA when they started buying up great brands and destorying them, we should have shunned Ubisoft when their quality dropped, and now we should shun PDX for their greed.
Glad I'm not a youth in this era of game development it's horrid. At least I got my fill of great games in the 90's and 2000's.
Make a statement with your wallets. That gamers wont tolerate unpolished, brand killing, garbage.
They will sell a ton of pre-orders, then release a buggy mess with missing features, and say "Thanks! we got our bonuses" and do it again to us over and over.
I used to trust this company, but now I am going to just watch for a few months while they do the same thing to me on City Skylines 2 that they just did on Star Trek Finite.
This,
And this, so true. As for the comment made a few posts above, Paradox are doing this to themselves.
The original code for this game was written more than a decade ago. I'm sure they had to redo the entire game from the ground up. It will undoubtedly be different in some ways and similar in others, just like all sequels.
These squeals of outrage for a game that hasn't even come out yet are just performative. I've watched the developer videos of the game and I've got a pretty good idea how it plays. I spent hundreds of hours on the first one, from the crude early alpha to when they sold it to the big studio. I don't expect a carbon copy of the first one, only an idiot would think that's feasible.
If you don't want the game then don't buy it. It's only forty bucks and I can easily afford to pre-order it. Heck, wait a couple years and you can get it with all the DLC for ten bucks, maybe that's more your price range anyway.
