Cosmodread

Cosmodread

RED GRENADE and cosmonaut's infinite health.
on my 3rd completion I just got to the last part running to the ship and i was trolling the cosmonaut unloading like 7 clips of ammo into him and about to shoot more when i decided to throw a red grenade. When i threw it down the hall and ran like 8 feet away it insta killed me on full health..... first of all, why cant the cosmonaut be killed at all? and can the red grenade not be an insta death on full health like wtf. If you have ever played call of the dead on bo1 zombies the boss that stalks you on that map can be killed but with an insane amount of bullets. Can the same concept be implemented especially since players that like to play with random variations might get the cosmonaut stalking you from the start which personally i would just back out at that point because hes invincible and would just be un fair and cheap. I own this game on oculus store*

Hi. Regarding the Cosmonaut: it being unkillable is pretty much the core tenet of its design. The idea behind this monster is to put a continuous pressure on the player as they explore, like a ticking clock that forces you to keep moving and be alert. It's similar to Mr X in the Resident Evil franchise, if you've played that. Having it being killable (even if it needs large amounts of damage) would defeat that purpose. So you can fight it, but only to gain some time before it recovers, never to remove the pressure completely.

As for the grenades: yeah, they're more dangerous than in most games, and I can understand the frustration of being killed when using them if you had the expectations that they worked similarly to those other games. The idea here is that you need to use them carefully and tactically, always taking some sort of cover to protect you from the explosion. For example: chucking them into a room and then closing the door before it explodes, or simply hiding behind a corner or a large piece of furniture so that you aren't exposed to the explosion.

thx for replying. yes i know mr x from re2 but you kill him at the end though lol but in that segment of him chasing you in the game i know what your saying but its different since that segment has 2 stories to juke him out and cosmodread has alot of linear hallway level generation. since the game seems to be final with no updates i will have to learn these small things which is frustrating but the core game is still very enjoyable. the purchased dreadhalls aswell which i loved playing and i dont have a single gripe about that game especially for the price point which i didnt want the game to ever end deff a stable horror game for VR. This company defiantly has my attention for vr gaming and im looking forward to the future projects, you guys deff own a huge % of the vr horror market. hit em out the park!
