If I buy this on steam, is it cross buy also on my quest 2?

It might be nice to show off to friends mobil, but I'd prefer better graphics using pcvr.

No I mean you get it only on oculus store, but you can play the quest 2 and (rift)pc version over there. If you use virtual desktop you can play the pc version on oculus store like you do with steamvr games.

No. Steam has no affiliation with the Oculus store.

Yup, great Gameplay, but needs a full PCVR overhaul, the textures and geo are far too low resolution for PCVR.

Others have already answered, but just to give an official reply: no, cross-buy is only between the Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift versions of the game sold in the Oculus Store.

there is no crossbuy in the specs on oculus store and now that i got it on steam I cannot refund anymore.

That's odd. The Oculus Store does show both Rift and Quest in the supported platforms field of the specs (for me at least). But that field doesn't seem terribly reliable, as I've noticed other games that are also in the list of cross-buy apps[www.oculus.com] only show one or the other platform there.

It's important to note that if a game is crossbuy on the Oculus store it will say 'Supports Rift' and 'Supports Quest' in the description.
Also you will not automatically be given the Rift version of a crossbuy game if you buy the Quest version and vice-versa. You have to 'buy' the other version from the other store (the Rift and Quest stores are separate), but the price will show as 'Free'. This still catches me out on occasion!

Great... just bought it on oculus thinking I would also get the steam version free as well. I haven't installed it yet...ill have to check out the Oculus return policy.
