Can’t control characters

In myRise sometimes I can’t control my character he just stands there till he loses. My controller works before and after the match. Some matches it works perfect then randomly I can’t do anything!!

It seems sometimes the game gets confuzzled and assigns the controller to player 2 slot - without being able to control that 2nd player. Often a game shut down and restart will sort it. Sometimes though it needs a pc restart.

Ive the feeling this happens for me sometimes when a move cant be completed. Happens often in games with 4 people in the ring at the same time. Then the character cant move and reacts to nothing on the pad. But if I'm hit by an opponent, I can move normally again.

this happens in my game all the time. Restarting doesn't fix it. I can control the start of the start the fight accept every dialog option but when the fight start I just stand there and I lose.

Interesting, just noticed and this happens to me.
Have 1P looks like a PS4 controller (this is what I'm using, usings DS4windows)
2P (xbox controller, this is what game thinks I'm using and set as me, I can move this)
3P keyboard

I need to remove this 2P and be 1P because I am using a PS4 controller, or remove 1P and so 2P become 1P and be nice for it to change to PS4 controller instead of having to look at xbox controls throughout my gameplay.

I tried deleting the xbox gamebar and restarting the game, nothing happened.
When I launch WWE again the gamebar reactivates itself, and I cannot uninstall it.

To get 1st controller working, I went to Steam > Settings > General Controller Settings > checkmarked PS4. So something similar will get the 1st controller to work which is what is used in Universe and MyRise.

Can't remember how to change the controls from xbox to PS4 and to remove P2, because right now I'm controlling both P1 and P2 on same controller.

Could you use this to do that?

Open Device Manager and then in Human Interface devices, disable any "HID-compliant game controller" that isn't the one you are using. If you go into "Play Now" when you select a side, you'll see your controller is not "1". when you disable it, 1 will disappear. now restart your game and your controller will be 1.

This for me?
So I did this, I do have 2, one of them if I disable I it takes it out of DS4Windows, the other one I disabled and restarted game. No changes.
It shows 2 Xbox controlers (I'm using PS4) 1P, 2P, I control both them at sametime. and 3P keyboard.
So my controller type is not correct and controlling 2 controllers, thankfully P1 and P2 aren't both preselected (exhibition)

But before it had me as P2 and P1 wasn't working, P1 is the one for Universe/Myrise.

Is DS4Windows necessary? Also, are you connected via USB or using them wirelessly?

closing ds4windows fixed it (so P1 controller (xbox), P2 keyboard), usually thats how i get my controller to work/connected on pc
