usually after 2 months for the most pc games. Depends on the success of the game. Bad success = fast 50% off, good selling game = 6-8 months.

The WWE2K games rarely go on sale.

WWE 2K20 was 85% off 1 year after its release.

This post is really just for patient gamers like myself. The sale was on Steam itself, not a third party.

well that was in no small part due to the fact that 2k20 was a garbage fire of a game. I'm not saying 2k22 ISN'T going to be on sale in a year, but I doubt it will be on sale for much off. 50% off is a reasonable expectation, maybe even 60%. But based on the reviews I've read and watched for the game and the tiny amount of time I've played, it should sell decently without being sold at that deep of a sale.

I don't need to be patient. Saving that little money is meaningless to me a year from now.

I'm having a lot of fun with the game. It has rough spots, and for some people it's literally unplayable. That sucks. But for me, I have no game-breaking issues, and mostly a good fun experience, that could use a bit of polish.

But it is unique (excluding the other WWE2k games ofc), and it is pretty good.

For some people its about not rewarding companies for bad practices, like paying full price for buggy games with micro transactions.

Agreed, the regional pricing of the game is really steep in the majority of regions, I had to buy it elsewhere, just to save a few bucks off the Steam store price.

2K19 had sales with its last time being at 75% off. That is the usual pattern though where they will do one last big 75% off or higher sale a little before the next game is released after all the DLC is out. The biggest problem is 2K sometimes will not discount the DLC so you are forced to double dip and just buy the Deluxe edition to get the Season Pass at a big discount.
