Submission mini games

Is there a way to switch the style of Submission mini games, other then held button or smash button? I see it shows up in option screen before a game start, but I don't see how you can change the mini game style.

What did the option screen say that you think is missing?

Were you looking for a puzzle like type option?

i was looking for the old R Stick wheel myself. but sadly best we can get this year is mashing vs holding the proper buttons.

just make sure in Gameplay presentation options you change both settings so you dont have to mash buttons just press and hold them as soon as they change.

switch MASHING to TIMING. and then change ALLOW HOLD DURING MINI GAME to ON.

Yes, for submission seems hold is the better option, not sure yet, the button mashing does give more of a feel of struggle. Before a match starts on Universe you will see what options were selected then shows buttons like submission style, like there would be another option, but I have not found any. Timed is for pins only. Would be cool to have the submission option from previous games. The rest of the game combos and y block and reversal seem to be a nice change.

The reason why they didn't keep the option from previous games, is because now the submission do a different animation when the bar reaches about 70% full. The wheel wouldn't work out as smoothly as the bar with this.

also it would require some sort of thought and work and button mashing was easier so
