changes from SS13 to this?

para, then TG enjoyer here from SS13, how's 14 compare? ive heard from reddit (reliable source i know) that 14 deviates some systems from 13, which i figure isnt a huge deal, im sure most of us have tried different codebases, i cant imagine it's much different than that.

that being said, i'm curious what's different, is it a huge jump or just some tweaks like UI buttons (heard smth about help/harm but i think TG made that change too?)

also, how caught up is it in terms of features from SS13? mainly TG or goon?

So to do a quick summary, its just SS13 but with a different UI (Frankly better IMO), and non tile based movement. It really doesn't feel it the same, but thats not a bad thing at all. SS14 Feels more dynamic and fluid than saying SS13 feels a bit stiff.

Now features, there is a LOT missing from SS13 in 14 currently. BUT, they are consistently adding new things almost every other day, so it'll be caught up to 13's features eventually. Huge plan, SS14 is so fun. There is a really large chunk of mechanics and content in 14 though to make it consistently fun.

If the steam edition of dwarf fortress taught classic game fans anything, it's that exposing their game to a wider audience is always good. You get more content and better longevity to the game. I really hope this takes off as I want to play Space station so bad but the original is super unapproachable just like original dwarf fortress was
