SS14 rules/moderation?

Will we be able to run free in all our unbridled, unfiltered glory, only bound to server rules/bans, or are the devs / whoever going to ban people for being naughty / "wrong think".

whatever did they mean by citing "being banned for being naughty/wrongthink". Really makes you wonder doesnt it. Certainly couldn't be the usual cases could it

If you tell someone "Don't do this, you'll get banned because I'm in charge, I'M THE BOSS!" then you're bound to have people rise up and drag you back down to planet earth. They aren't going to allow you to act like their boss when you aren't.

This is especially true with SS13 since the game is PLAGUED with power hungry moronic admins on every server available. I've never seen a game with the majority of servers moderated by neckbeards, it was a shocking discovery to say the least.

Your post is literally part of the problem, when you say that to any player, what is most likely? That they'll listen to you or troll the ♥♥♥♥ out of you? The answer is pretty obvious.

Getting banned from an SS13 server has become so normal for most players that it's like breathing. Be damned if you make a virus that launches players all across the station when they sneeze, doesn't even matter if it's easily curable. Not hard to see how this leads to players starting to actually troll on every server that exists out of retaliation against overly dramatic perma bans.

Oh and a lot of players dislikes furries with a passion, so it's just natural to troll those servers into oblivion.

Servers should have rules, but you'll piss off a lot less people and get retaliated against with ban evades much less if you don't permanently ban everyone for any minor "infrigement".

honestly yea, admins that are impossible to please and just want to flex their power. i have never gotten so aggravated with a game that I wanted to literally mark my calendar for once every few months just to purposely break their game. I havent yet, but it made me realize why they have SO MANY issues with people pissed off purposely breaking their servers, and I honestly don't feel bad for them.

LOL my server was banned from the hub for litterally none of the reasons listed there - basically because I didn't agree with the political views of some admins of the SS14 hub and also made a competing community to try and give people an alternative to the tyranny. Other more popular servers were taken down also from the hub for competing. We need an alternative hub. Someone should program a "free-hub" or something.

Bruh I was banned earlier today after posting this, and this very thread was banned too. Now I was unbanned again? Some mods are trying to silence any dissent, some are actually decent and just want to contribute to a fun game it seems. Honestly, cheers to whoever unbanned me. All I've tried to do is make an alternative place for discourse on the game and community where I can't be banned.

Um first of all, if you look at Steam Charts, there are more active players than anytime.

Second, me and my 3 group of friends actually stopped playing because the rules are too strict. The potential is much greater when random ♥♥♥♥ is allowed to take place, and not just force everyone to strictly play "by the rules". There needs to be more variation (which ultimately makes it fun)
