So, like you see, this time Round 8 Studio by NEOWIZ (yes, by NEOWIZ, thats the full name of this "studio", you can check registering documents, uncle google will show you easly, everything about it) provided us another version of this fantastic IP called Bless. No joke, i really liked Bless Online (round 5). As someone, who played Bless Online for over 700 hrs, now after 18 hrs in this version, i can say a few words.

(6 points max):
1. Graphics: 4/6 - nothing special, good enough for an MMORPG.

2. Music: 3/6 - well, its not Mr Hanz Zimmer, like it was in Bless Online, but music in this one... exists..

3. SFX: 3/6 - common, like in most asian games.

4. Optimization: 2/6 - its better than it was in Bless Online, but still not good enough. Like seriously? I need to go to Low settings, to play on GTX1080 or RX580 or even GTX 1060? This game has just ok graphics, nothing uncommon. After all those years (rounds), after changing engine to UE4, you still haven't learn how to use this engines. Have you seen Lost Ark? Its Unreal Engine 3. Heck, even Elyon on UE3 work way better than this version of Bless on UE4. Shame NEOWIZ, shame.
About memory leaks - In Bless Online (round 5) i was forced to restart game every 2-3 hrs, because of memory leaks. But here, in Bless Unleashed after 18 hrs of playtime i havent seen any significant memory leaks. PC (game + discord) is using between 6 and 10 GB of ram. Most of the time around 8 GB.

5. UI - 2/6 just a port from consoles, clunky, a bit annoying, but we can ignore this one, game has other major issuess. At least they fixed using mounts, you can almost normally using mounts!

6. Combat - it could be good, but with tab-tracked target it is so bad, its crazy bad. In situations like "oh sh*t, run, run, run" you cannot run away, because tab-track function auto rotating your toon towards targeted enemy. And without using tab-track function, your skills with long animations (it means most of them...) wont hit, and you will miss.

7. P2W elements 6/6 - quite heavy, so max 6 points - its some good place for Whales, and Visa/Mastercard Knghts and Real Life Losers.
I stopped playing Bless Online (round 5) when they started adding p2w sh*t to cash shop.
Here we have just got p2w from the very beginning. So no surprise, you know, where you putting your mace in... ;)

8. Gameplay - i like it, it reminds me Bless Online, very similar (identical or almost identical) locations, this combat is not bad, like i said before, it just needs some work. Beut hey - forget it. Not gonnas happen! This company wont fix anything. This game is just port from consoles, they didnt fix it on consoles, they wont here.

Will i recommend this game?
If you badly want to try, yes, its free, check it yourself, and make your own opinion.
But remember - dont waste any single cent on this game. It is not worth, really. Honestly, dont do this.

And you NEOWIZ - honestly, shame, shame, shame.
You think you can move some guys to another room, put some sticker on doors with name "Round 8 Studio" and you think youre safe or what? Its still you, the same dubious quality, greedy company.
You think all people are stupid and throw their hard earned cash to you? You think all gamers are stupid? Or blind, because they love MMO(RPG) genre so they wish to sink in some new world of MMORPG?
Not gonna happen. Not with this game. Not under your developing and publishing.
Seriously, NEOWIZ, you are one of the worst gaming companies, at least on the Planet Earth.

117 hours at time of review and I really can NOT recommend this game. Between the unhelpful community and other garbage mechanics, this game very quickly lost its luster to me. It was fun as heck at first but.. Now that I'm stuck waiting for the marketplace to come back up / waiting for weekly resets & saw how people are once you get to level 35+. I'm just not interested anymore. Once some other games drop in another week or so, this game is getting uninstalled.

I have to shorten several points because I'm 3200 characters over the limit.

Pros =

1. Fluid and satisfying, impactful combat
2. Until you hit level 33 or so, it feels satisfying to level up
3. Lots to do. Public events, public bosses, dungeons, resource harvesting, item crafting, PvP and the long, yet usually satisfying grind to increase your gear score
4. Unique world. While it does seem kind of like your basic semi-high fantasy world, I found myself really enjoying the visuals in several of the areas available to explore
5. Taming system. System needs love but I have a collection log to fill
6. It's free to play, so even with all of the cons I'm about to list, you might as well try it I guess

Cons (in my opinion) =

1. Race locked classes and kinda meh race types. You have your basics; humans, elves. Then you have what equates to a twink dwarf and a charr from GW2

2. Certain skills effectively forces you into an animation lock. Most animations you can cancel with a dodge roll but I dunno. I get stuck in animations a lot with my mage

3. Toxic / unhelpful community. It's to often that you run into people who join your group that, the instant you run into a boss that has mechanics, they quit. They want to give up, blame everyone else and leave the dungeon. The matchmaking system will often pair you up with a bunch of people who are beyond unwilling to help you learn something, if its your first time. It seems very elitest and very "git gud scrub"

4. Bots. It's a free to play game. Of course there are going to be hundreds of bots.

5. Pay to win AF. Oh. My. God. Want to be able to do well in PvP at all? Enjoy spending either thousands of hours grinding out mobs for Blessing Breaths or spending thousands of dollars to get enough Star Seeds to purchase the Blessing Breaths you need to level up your Blessings

6. No direct player to player trading. Want to trade an item to another player? Huck it into the Marketplace, wait an hour and hope that they can get it before another player does

7. Forced PvP. Once you go through the first 4 areas, quests force you into PvP zones. Also, there seems to be no limit on who can attack who. If you're level 5, OH WELL! A level 45 can come in and wreck your face. ~THAT BEING SAID~ While I was running around in those zones, I only ran into player killers a couple of times

8. Gear score system - It's. Annoying. Once you get to around 1100 gear score, it starts becoming really difficult to increase your score further. You're stuck waiting for the... Daily? Weekly? Unsure; resets of the timed dungeons in the hopes that you get lucky. It wouldn't be so bad if these MMOs would stop putting in these weekly limits on things. I WANT TO FARM THE DUNGEON UNTIL I GET WHAT I WANT! Not have to wait for MONTHS just to farm it enough times to have a realistic chance of getting the specific item I want

9. Garbage crafting system. Want to make some high tier piece of gear to either use or sell? Enjoy farming some crappy world boss hundreds, if not thousands of times to get enough of its mythic crafting materials to craft ONE piece of gear. Need to make some better potions because the ones you buy from shops are utter crap? Enjoy having to collect thousands of herbs (or spend tons of Star Seeds) just to make a batch of ~maybe~ 100 potions. Of course, you can buy what you need from players but OOF. Expensive. Guess I'm stuck farming up tons of herbs to sell

10. Very crappy, uninspired quest line. Go here. Pick up 10 of these. Go there. Kill 20 of those. Go fight the big baddy boss. Rinse. Repeat. Bleh

11. The Marketplace. This is a four pointer
1. You have to be level 27 to be able to access the marketplace
2. In order to put any items you get as drops from dungeons (specifically gear), you have to buy unbinding scrolls (which cost Star Seeds) to be able to unbind the item (which has a limited number of unbinds before it can no longer be unbound) and then place it in the market
3. It always seems to be down because... Issues? It's been down for 2 days now.
4. Normally, it would be whatever if a games main trading system is down for a little bit... Not in this game. It's a major problem because the only way to realistically increase your gear score is to buy higher grade items from other players

12. The item upgrade system... It's utter garbage. Not only do you have a very low chance of upgrading the item from, say, +1 to +2 (which increases your gear score)... But if you fail to upgrade the item (because of the super low chance), the item will "break". You can still use it. It doesn't lower the items stats... But you can no longer enhance it without getting a "repair hammer" for the specific grade of item that you have (D, C, B, A, S). Each of these repair hammers costs A. Star Seeds, B. Soul Crystals or C. Artifact Cores. Star Seeds are a tad annoying to acquire but they do add up overtime, especially if you do your draw 30 every day. Soul crystals seem to take forever to farm and Artifact Cores take a good while to farm up a decent amount of them. Oh, also, you need Artifact Cores to upgrade your gear, so spending your cores on hammers is not a good idea ;)

13. There are way to many different types of currencies
1. Gold - used to buy recipes from reputation vendors, as well as some basic things from other vendors. Also used in equipment enhancement, though you get so much gold in the game, it's effectively useless
2. Star Seed - the currency of the marketplace. Something you need a lot of if you want to be able to realistically upgrade your gear or train your craft skills. Obtained by trading items in the Marketplace, doing major pieces of content (such as long quest lines) and doing your 6 daily gold to star seed exchanges
3. Artifact Core - Used for upgrading your gear, as well as buying certain items to allow you to upgrade your gear further / repair it if it breaks. Obtained by breaking down useless gear
4. Artifact Shard - Used for enhancing uncommon / common equipment. Obtained by breaking down useless gear
5. Soul Crystal - obtained by killing world bosses (most of the time, you get maybe 50 of them). Used to buy rewards chests, repair hammers and other items
6. Victory Token - PvP currency. Obtained by participating in the Warlords Arena and in the Battlefield.
7. Warrior's Talent - Obtained through Sealed Chests or Abyssal Chests, which you get from dungeons. You can also get some of these by doing your weekly Prestige Quests. Used for purchasing items from the Warrior's Talent Shop
8. Sentinel / Artisan / Court Credit - All three of these are obtained by doing Union quests. They reset daily and offer a varying amount of credit for doing these quests. Each of these credits are used to purchase items from the respective Union Specialty Merchant, as well as purchasing Union buffs, such as a flat % increase to get double resources from nodes you harvest, +500 defense, dealing increased PvP damage

16. Severely limited storage space. MY GOD! Sure, you can expand your storage by hunting down chests out in the world but for every 1 space, you have to find 4 chests. I'm sitting at 125 storage capacity right now and it still doesn't feel like enough. When you first start out at level 1, you have 45 or 50 storage. One of the two. OOF. It feels bad, especially if you want to mass collect ALL OF THE RESOURCES

Apologies if this is a bit long, but I just want to get my point across.

A lot of people are writing negative opinions with very little clarity. Please let me explain my situation as someone that has played all the versions of Bless that have been released so far (Online, Unleashed, Mobile). I have very little issues with the current state of Unleashed. It is a competent free-to-play Korean MMORPG. However, the business practices of the parent company mean you need to avoid this game.

From my understanding, Bless was originally announced in 2011 as a Unreal 3 RPG. When it eventually got released in regions Korea, Russia, Japan, and the West (NA/EU) it failed immensely. So much so that it got repeated re-releases in some regions and was shut down on Steam in under 18 months.

This company only cares about one thing, Making as much money as quickly as possible. This should not be a surprise since Neowiz in mainly a mobile developer. Somehow in the early 2010s they obtained about $50m million to make a PC MMORPG. That project failed immensely and since then they have been whoring out the assets as much as possible to try make a return:

Firstly. - the main versions of Bless Online - Korea, Japan, Russia, then the West
Secondly - Bless Mobile - the first mobile game that is about to shut in Korea after 18 months (outsourced to Joycity
Thirdly - The console version of Bless Unleashed (published by Bandai Namco) which served as an inferior Beta version that will be released on PC.
Fourthly - THE PC Version of Bless Unleashed (self published by Neowiz similar to Bless Online after it was dropped by Aeria Games in 2017) which is a cheap port that they couldn't even be bothered to fix the UI/UX problems brought over from console.
Fifthly - A SECOND mobile game is being developed in China by a company called Dragon Quest Games that will launch soon after this game.

Neowiz are only in this for a return on investment i.e. to make money for a stupid investment a decade ago that is still costing them. MMO players put money into games expecting that they are a worthwhile investment. Bless is the antithesis of this and will probably shut down in the next 1-2 years.

I have not even mentioned the aggressive cashshop, the tons of assets reused from Bless Online, or the even more content that is missing that they will push through in future "as part of future updates".

Do not give this company a cent, they are scam artists that probably bribed Park Geun-hye and that's the only reason they were never brought to court.

posting this as a do not recommend because I got banned from the discord for simply asking for help with the support team with maybe opening up a path to refunding my old bless online founders pack since neowiz is unresponsive to emails and bless studios doesn't even exist anymore. Dev team is a bunch of immature babies. I'll delete this review if I could just get a helpful response from the support team or anyone.

-First, Yes very easy to DM a moderator when I am BANNED from the discord and unable to view it.
-Second, after playing the game for nearly 100 hours there are a few more issues I have come across. The Star seed scammers. I don't think I need to say anything else this is a massive issue for the game and new players instantly get the chat spammed and there is no hope to ask for help. Another issue is the bag space Consumables such as gold boost and pve SXP boosts should not take up inventory space especially when there is a plethora of random uncommon and rare crafting materials. This bag space issue is making people think that the game is p2w which isn't a good image for a game with a hurt reputation already. Now if you say something about the chests found around the world i have already collected 200 of them and only have 112 slots so that argument doesn't track.
-Third, Please listen to the community. Don't let this become just like Bless Online

suggestions: add more titles, say like gathering titles. instead of just having the trials and the 20 or so unimpressive titles out right now. I want to have a sense of accomplishment and some bragging rights for my achievements in the game.

I hate giving this game a thumbs down. There are so many great things about this game. Sure it has its quirks but alot of games do; however there is one MEGA negative for it which made me stop playing. All these are listed below. (Note I didnt get to PVP in this game but it seems like it could be fun)

Pros:

MMO with ARPG elements... I am loving it.
Loved the environment
Enemy models were creative and new (go fight a harpy and you will see).
Boss fights were somewhat simple to understand the mechanics but could be difficult to master the timing which made these fights fun (and annoying lol).
The amount of freedom you had to customize your character and class was amazing.
Dungeons were extremely fun and engaging
Economy made sense
Community is super helpful and friendly
You get rewarded for everything!
Split of experience, class experience, and skill experience was interesting
Being able to capture mounts was a good touch.
The five classes were solid! All of them felt different and impacted the games dynamic and team composition in a way, I felt, was beneficial to the experience. Priest heals and buffs, Mage and Archer DPS, Berzerker front line DPS and CC, Crusader = Front line buff, shield, and dmg.

Neither Pro/Nor Con:
Crafting/gathering was easy to do but leveling through crafting was a pain in the butt as the resources you needed most of the time dropped from bosses.
An honest attempt was made to formulate a story to make the players care. Better then Lost Ark but not very engaging.


Cons:
MEGA CON: VALOFE bought it and is now the owner/developer of this game and the only substantial change they made since January was to the shop... surprise surprise.... dont make the game better... lets suck all the money out of the remaining players and then kill it. I mean there was already a roadmap with content ready to be injected into the game for this year but thats all scrapped now. The players have only seen 2 changes and thats because studio 8 owned it through January.
It seemed like they took the music out of Vanilla WoW and inserted into the game.
No tab targeting :(.
Gear drops at higher levels made no sense, do higher content but get lower level gear..... okay.
Level 34 and up areas feel empty and a rushed afterthought.

To the remaining players. I am right there with ya... I love this game to and recognize its potential. The fact that VALOFE has this game means that it is on life support. I would recommend you follow suit and abandoned ship. If you dont believe me, go look at the titles they carry and find a successful one.

After level 30 its forced PvP only. There is a toggle where YOU can't PvP, except others can still PvP you. Except you can pay 2 dollars an hour to have PvP be off...paying...to...have...no...PvP...HAHAHAHA!

And yes I play BDO which has PvP forced to be on. Except there is no cash shop item to remove PvP and the death for PvP is annoyance, nothing serious. The world is massive (zones in this game are crowded and small) so PvP is extremely rare to begin with.

Never played a game where you pay real money per hour to have no PvP.

I am strictly a PvE-Player, who plays MMORPG for fun and mostly alone, like a single player game. But when you lvl up to 30 the game forces you to battle other players and to me that kinda sucks.
