Error 142 on Application Start

When launching the game after a fresh install I get the error message:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click ok to close the application.

I tried a verified the game and it says it is all downloaded and verified. Is there an issue running this game in general, or did the developers not make it compatible to be installed and ran on a secondary drive? Any ideas on what is going on?

well... idk what happen to your computer or laptop cause im playing perfectly fine... if you are running the game from steam the drive isnt the problem.

After looking at a guide on YouTube, I disabled the steam overlay, the discord cisco audio driver advanced settings, and updated my video card driver which only about 2 months out of date and it worked. The game must be really fragile to error out for any of these things.
